My initial point was that the overwhelming majority of the time, when someone bounces a check and blames it on the bank, they are full of shit. It is RARELY the banks fault.

Hooray for extreme for making good on the checks quickly. That is what they should be doing when they fuck up and send out bad checks. However, many affiliates are small, often living check to check. Having a bounced check can cause problems for them down the line, whether the check issuer covers it quickly or not.

Most people don't realize how true this is. A friend of mine received a rubber sponsor check once, and ever since then his bank has sent him through hell and back again. Funny how something so small can really fuck up someone's life.

Doh, I completely forgot that this happened to me once. Because of a bounced check, my rent check was bad a while back. Ever since then my landlord has made paying the rent a complete chore. I have to go to the bank, get a special bank issued check, and then turn it in. Such a pain in the ass.

This check bouncing has happened to me once BUT the Extreme guys were top notch and they re-sent the check and reimbursed me the bank fees. They are a top notch sponser who has had some communication errors in a couple of their departments, but it has never happened again. They've also agreed to buy me drinks in Vegas once Internext arrives...Right John? :Graucho

They responded fast and had the check to my house by the next day. I can see how some of the smaller guys are in a world of hurt over a small bounced check, but if you don't burn any bridges, your bank accounts may swell to massive proportions one day by handling situations like this in a professional manner. :thumbsup

After reading all of this thread it seems that extreme bend over backwards to immediately correct any problems with checks... clickcash are another matter entirely. They required me to send back the checks before they issued new ones and didn't offer to cover the bounce and overdraw fees that my bank charged. I also lost money at the bounce and redeposit stages due to fluctuating exchange rates.
