Could the Cubs beat the Yankees?

The Cubs took their regular season series against the Yankees.

Game 1: Zambrano loss
Game 2: Wood win
Game 3: Prior win

Not even the Yankees could make it out alive against the two best pitchers in baseball. In a 7 game series they'd have to face them 4 times. Zambrano normally isn't easy either. Just like the Marlins are about to go through.

its going to be a tough one I think the cubs won 2 out of 3 earlier this year. But the yankees have more experience in the post season. It'll be a great battle for sure.

For the next week, or so, let's pray to god both the Cubs and the Marlins can do it.

But what about this:
Boston beats Oakland tomorrow/today
Boston beats New York
Cubs beat the Marlins
Boston vs Chicago in the World Series!

Any takers on this one?

Yes but if the Red Sox and the Cubs make it to a series together there can be no winner. There is all that curse shit and all you know. =] So here's what I think happens:

Game 7, bottom of the ninth, 2 outs... tie game.... Manny Ramirez is up...

Here's the pitch....

World Ends.

NO really. Nostradamus predicted it! Read the books. lol

I would love to see the Bosox and Cubs. I think the Cubs have the best shot at it all right now (especially with Hudson getting hurt too). They just have too much pitching and the offense is far from anemic so they go on and win.

Boston will get owned by New York as usual. And facing the yankees post season is not like facing them during the regular season. They get their shit together and usually play amazing.

Owned? The series this year between them was 10-9. Hardly called that being owned.
Time for the Sox to put the hurt on those damn yankis!

dont underestimate clemens and wells in october..

they turn it up big time.
the only thing i worry about is the yankees defense, and all their errors, if they can play good defense, and hit the ball, they'll win.

the pitching speaks for itself.

giambi needs to come around.

WELLS? What a joke! I would worry more about Pettite than Wells! And Clemens tends to "burn out" in the play offs for some reason.

I don't think the Yankees are as strong as they were, say as recently as 2 years ago.
