PayPal Eliminates Western Union & Cash Advance Fees ...
I've had my PayPal debit card for some time and am astonished at the fact that once somebody PayPal's you, the money is available immediately (in $400 daily increments).
But what is even more interesting is the fact that once everybody has a PayPal debit card (most of computer literate friends already do) it eliminates that service Western Union has been robbing us for and Visa since they treat a Western Union as a "cash advance" and those ridiculous fees. I realize that the debit card has a fee BUT, it definiatly outweighs Western Union's fee AND the high interest your credit card gives you for the cash advance. The question I suppose I have is; WHY the fuck isn't Western Union and Visa screaming at PayPal? Not that I don't love the service, I think my hate for the formal PayPal company and Ebay outweigh my love for the convenience it provides. Imagine if Visa told PayPal that all charges were going to be treated as cash advances, I think PayPal would be bye bye because they wouldn't survive on checking account deposits alone. |

WU is convienient so everyone still uses them.. but they do suck.. their fees are pretty outrageous.. paypal is good too, but i dont trust keeping my money in my paypal account, and using there debit card.. i would just be waiting for one day to see my paypal account closed for some mysterious reason
