Web buyers sent bricks instead of phones - GoFuckYourself.com

MADRID, Spain (AP) -- A teenage con artist using Internet auction sites tricked people into sending him money to buy cellular phones and instead mailed them bricks, police said.

The 18-year-old boy was arrested this week in the central city of Ciudad Real after duping people all over Spain, including residents of Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.

Arrested at post office
The suspect had his victims mail postal money orders to a house in Ciudad Real that he knew was vacant.

He collected them at the mailbox there, and was arrested Tuesday at a post office while trying to cash some of the money orders, police said.

The police said the teen fooled many people but didn't say how many. The youth's name was not released.

I wonder if he had GSM Bricks...

Exactly! I've heard of scams on the street where some guy comes up to you and says hey I got this video camera here and if you pay me 100 bucks or something it's yours. Stolen or not that's a good deal right. So the guy pretends to be in a rush and takes your money and leaves you with the box of a video camera and a brick inside...

In this case the guy is fuckin' SHIPPING BRICKS! LOL! Well I guess it worked!
