Direct Fiesta,
Who is Canada's head of state? |
Quote:
if i recall correctly donald rumsfeld and condoleeza rice went on news shows to deny having implied this, and resident bush even came out and made a statement link so obviously the white house felt this was an important poll. |

Its funny when these threads come. IM an american and I do not watch cnn or fox or any of that shit. I dont even watch the LA news often. Why? Because I know its all based on fear, and i learned that shit when geraldo was making his bullshit claims about Satanist Baby Killing. Which there has NEVER BEEN ANY IN THE US EVER, but he was putting out shows left and right about the KKK and the Satanist Baby Killers. I gave up on americas media long ago. Please dont lump me in with your american bashing. I am not your 'average american' I do not support what is happening and I could actually be imprisoned if I stated my beliefs on such things regarding Bush and his fucking christian kid fucking legion. Did you read this where he says General Clark tld him he had been contacted by the Bush Admin when this first happened to go on the news and say Saddam was involved? THIS WAS BEFORE any of this crap. And WAY before your Washington Post Poll. http://michaelmoore.com/words/index....ate=2003-09-23 http://www.raisethefist.com/index1.html |

Canadians don?t know this basic point about their government. http://erg.environics.net/news/default.asp?aID=406 I?m sure I could dig up many more but that?s my last one. I don't like insulting entire nations especially one that my family comes from. The point is that people like Direct Fiesta go looking for proof of ?the dumb American? and ignore all the stupid things believed and not known in their own country. |

you and i share the same opinions more often than not. |

I will just point out that this thread is not about " what Canadian thinks" but about " what AMERICANS think..." Nobody prevents you from starting your own new thread. The Poll that I cited was an American poll, done by americans ( well, maybe from outsourcing India..lol) about american beliefs... BTW. I do not look for " proof", it is just there to scoop... just like shit! And I do not fall for your stupid student tricks ( sorry ladymischief, but you were not suspicious enough, and fell for it). :321GFY |

Prove to us that the majority of Americans are free thinkers. This should be fun... |
Cool.
I was actually considering going down to the Hollywood Rally a couple days ago and take pictures. I really love the fact that things like this are going on outside and just blocks from me. http://www.boston.com/dailynews/272/...h_coast:.shtml :thumbsup |

I'v seen things like this many times more than I can count. On many occasions after something like this is thrown up in our face I've discussed it with family, friends and other fellow university students just to see if other people feel this way. The answer has been "no" probably 95% of the time. Who the fuck are they polling? |

And ironically it's the "patriotic right" that seem to be doing most of the threatening. Most of the hate mail seems to be posted on left leaning sites, and it was directed towards them. FreeRepublic.com - that bastion of conservatism will ban you for posting anything left of William Kristol. "Patriotism" now seems to mean "Do what we say", not "Do what the constitution says". Now who says American is going down the pan? :1orglaugh |

I'm sure you have a good memory and can remember your own posts. Show me just one post dated before today where you show evidence of ignorance in your own country. |

You may have book smarts, but from your posts you seem to be rather lacking in common sense. :2 cents: |

People like me, do not follow the leader and I question everything these people try and feed us, whether its Rumsfield or Geraldo. I've rarely seen anyone question their own country here aside from americans. sad if you think about it. We may be in a bad situation, but it was NOT the merican peoples fault and its a shame that these other countries feel that it is ALL of us who stand behind this christian monkey and his alcoholic war monger oil buddies. I am american but some of US are almost ASHAMED of it, and it really disgusts me to see my country be brought down to its current level. |

I'm pretty sure it's because many Americans congregate here, so they're an easy target. And with a huge military and a dumb president, the US can have quite an effect on the rest of the world. So people make their thoughts heard. |

But that doesnt change the fact that there are as many canadians here that post regularly, and people from the UK, and elsewhere. It doesnt matter HOW MANY people congregate here from a certain place. What does that have to do with a person speaking out or questioning whats happening in their city? I make posts about local LA shit all the time, sometimes LA news is the first news in the country to report things. Just because there is only 1 person from Brazil here doesnt mean he cant make a post about a local man was busted for explosives and taken to jail and executed without trial. One person is enough to speak loud enough on this board or any other to be heard. I was pointing out to a canadian on this board one day about how the medical equipment in 50% of all diagnositc equipment (including ultrasound equip) in canada's hospitals was neglected and obsolete due to the old health care system and how they managed their equipment and funds. Basically the nurses were not trained to use this 'new' equipment so it was never used and became onbsolete, a HUGE waste of funds. I never saw any canadian complain about that. http://www.freemarketfoundation.com/...oid=892&idv=17 Just a 'Dumb American' pointing out the bullshit curtains that ALL COUNTRIES pull over its people. Id be willing to bet the American's vs Canadian headcount here would be similar. I could be wrong, but there are A bunch of canadians here hehehe and they post more than the americans! Name em: Quiet, Sleazy, Evil Chris, Lady Mischief, the list goes on, Canada is repped here big time. Are you saying there is NOTHING to complain about in canada? Shit man, i need to go check it out. Prolly too cold for my ass heh. Anyway, point is i RARELY EVER see someone bitch about ANYTHING to do with their land. But DAILY I SEE Canadians and others POINTING at America. You must agree on that ;) |

I wasn't the only one to think so. You were just trying to belittle someone who had a perfectly valid point, with an obscure side issue. Well, you probably achieved your goal. You can feel proud. :2 cents: |

I must think it's because this board is mostly US centric, so non US threads often die a quick death. But just as an example of the kind of questioning of government that is NOT happening in the US: http://www.the-hutton-inquiry.org.uk/ Tony Blair is fighting for his political life. |
Quote:
That should be quite clear to you and if you don't understand why that is relevant you are probably in the 2%. If someone else didn't get it, they are just as slow as you. Why do you ask me to explain in excruciating detail the logic of very simple to follow threads? |

Now, if you say that the war in Iraq has influence only on the USA , then this post will be short. Plenty of posts have been done by Canadians about Canada or Canada related topics: - Visa shit ( no banks for porn here) - mail-order marijuana - gay marriages - non-participation of troops - Canadian soldiers killed in Afghan... and so on. The point is " look at the subject of THIS thread".... |

This guy is worth over a billion dollars. If that doesn't speak volumes about the average Americans stupidity I don't know what does. http://www.orm.cc/ |

Ive not seen many Blair supporters in here comparing him to Hitler and etc. Nah, they just point and laugh. I think this thread is going to make me go to the next Anti-War rally and get pics so I can SHOW Lady Mischief what America thinks, not let her read a thread about a Washington Poll that claims we all think Saddam was behind it. There are people gathered in points around this state right now speaking out AGAINST this shit, and AGAINST BUSH etc. They arent sitting on a board arguing about canada Vs America news sources. So i think this thread will make me get more involved and go to the next one. I love taking pics, so it will be fun. Maybe the cops will beat up some more AMERICANS for speaking out and gathering in public. See its a double standard. Sit at home and bitch about Bush or go out and complain and get labeled a hippie. It sure beats sitting here writing this post. hahaha |
