Jupiter might be a good choice for managed services (in which case he's all yours Poppy), but check out VibeHosting.com for our 10Mbit Special (capped or burstable) on a P4 2.4GHz, 1GB PC2700 DDR and 120GB at $395 a month.

Servers are housed in eXchange colo (one of the largest and best datacenters) and semi-managed. Right now we are also adding a new internal monitoring system with *automatic* reboots. Manual reboots are free offcourse and done in a few minutes after request (24/7). Hit me up for more information or custom plans, I would be happy to discuss them, ICQ 51034232, MSN [email protected], email [email protected]

Indeed both are most likely solid companies however having never dealt with Jupiter couldnt fairly comment on them.

Webair on the other hand are definately a solid hosting companie

I've been with Webair for about 6-7 months now.

One thing I can say is professional staff, great technical support and last but least great pricing.

When I made the move to Webair, they talked to me and explained my package in depth so that I would know exactly what I was getting. They explained a lot of hosting jargon so I could understand the value of the service given and they helped me pick plan that was great for me.

If I could pick any hosting company right now...
I'd go with Webair again

It's not all about who has the lowest price because when you get down to it, you can be paying a low price for shitty bandwidth.

But at Webair you get a good price for the best bandwidth.
My network of sites has grown every month since the switch to Webair, I don't have to worry about downtime. I just do my job of managing my websites.

Also, to see a representative from Jupiter Hosting lauching a personal attack against webair kinda makes me scratch my head. It seemed pretty unprofessional, but maybe thats just part of the GFY persona. Maybe that representative is truly professional over the phone or something...

I don't know, just reminds me a lot of the boys from Like Whoa..
and we all remember the end result of that

Hey Mike.

Shall I post the log from the d-money chat room log where you:

1) called Lensman and team an idiot

2) Said Jupiter was the next Like Whoa

3) Criticized our business model and said we would be bankrupt in 30 days

While you think about that, why don't you do a search for webair threads on this board and try to find any of our sales folks promoting Jupiter in those threads.

Then turn around and to the opposite search. Take a look at all the Jupiter threads (for that matter, any host). How many times have you thrown your hat into the mix when someone started a thread about a company other than your own.

You talk about professionalism?... I would shut up now.

Damn Ray! I would expect more professionalism from a company like Jupiter. I think just about all hosting companies out there can say they have a flux of turnover from one place or another. That being said, I have been a customer of WebAir after leaving another hosting company for 9 months now. It wouldn't be fair to drag our old hosts through the mud because basically, we just out grew them. Since we have been with WebAir the service has been great, tech's go above and beyond and They have some of the best prices in the business.

The fact that Mike didn't start bashing Jupiter after you sucker punched him on a public forum is just another example of their professionalism.

I would recommend WebAir to anyone.

Did he do that? You got to fucking kidding me. Does he have any basis for these comments or he just a trash-talking asshole? You would think he'd have more respect for me and the hard working gang at Adult.com.

I gotta see that chat transrcipt. If that's the case, obviously he doesn't care about his reputation.

I've only banned one hosting company around here, and that's because they refused to shut down a site that stole my content. Maybe there will be a second one now.

why does webair constantly hijack webhosting threads that don't have anything to do with him in the first place?

God damn... if the Webair guy really said all that in a chat, I'd say he's OWNED. If that really did happen, I don't think the comment by the Jupiter guy was at all uncalled for.

Well now that we have the attention of someone that matters =)

1. yes shmeg, please post that info, as I have never had a bad thing to say about adult.com and crew, nor xfr/jupiterhosting. As a matter of fact I never heard of you guys until lens picked you up....

2. Lens - if you think that banning a company that has paid thousands of dollars advertising on your site is a wise business decision, then ban away...all of these allegations that xfr/jupiterhosting has made are 100% inaccurate...We offer a good solid hosting service, been in biz since 96, we play a fair game bro...seems to me your new guy is getting pissed for one reason or another unbeknownst to me.
