Actually, this was just brought to my attention, and I know something about it.

We split our lightspeedcash server into two servers. One to receive traffic, and one for affiliate stats.

During this split, for about a day, there was a mistake in the "banners" section of our admin area, showing the linking code as "http://stats.lightspeedcash..."

It was corrected as soon as it was noticed. (about 1-2 days TOPS)

The linking codes in the "linking codes" section were correct all along, as a different program was used to display those.

Battuss obviously used the linking codes given to him in the banners section, obviously he didn't pull a new linking code out of his ass.

I fixed this problem myself, and I casually mentioned it to one of our programmers, but she must have forgotten about it. I don't think I ever mentioned it to Richard.

It was also our mistake not to email our affiliates about the error. I had problem corrected and I only recieved one email about the 404 which was quickly explained.

Battuss, you know me and you know I'm not out to "screw" anyone. I understand your frustration, and when you contact me on icq (27295695) I will work out a compensation for your lost traffic/income.

I think it sucked that you came to this board the way you did. After I personally told you in Amsterdam that if you ever need anything from Lightspeedcash you can bring it to me.

Edit : Just read Steve's post.

I was STILL having the trouble he described as of this morning though. Linking codes in the affiliate "Link Codes" area going to a 404. Haven't checked since then.

I have to agree with Battuss, using the wrong links is one thing but using the wrong links you got from the admin area, which worked at the time is something else entirely.

though I do think its a bit silly not to double check your linking codes after buying a paid spot.

Ok this is quite important. Are those links pointing to www.whatever site or stats.whatever site?

I talked to someone yesterday on icq who remembered a while back he suddenly had a ls gallery going to a 404 page. He deleted it and didnt pay any further attention to it. Too bad we dont know if it was the same problem.

I had no reasons to check them cuz that same gallery sent hits and sales before.

Aha...great
Answer is there.

Steve, i will contact you.

I feel bad about bringing this to the boards, very bad. Not my style. I gave it time but Rochard didnt feel like it was worth the hassle of a deeper investigation so to me the only option was bringing it to the boards.

I couldn't say either way to be honest. I can check when I get home. Hopefully this works out - I was looking forward to promoting them. I got excited about the 100 signups = Jersey offer in that other thread. That is what got me started this morning.

Steve : The links given in the link codes (Or hosted galleries, I cannot remember to be honest as I sadi) were still not working for myself this morning. The were sending me to your 404. I can email you my ID if you like.

Steve,

People make mistakes, i do, everybody does.
I still think Rochard didnt handle this in a professional way, at least not from what i saw during our icq conversations.

Going to the boards isnt professional either but gets things solved as we can see here.

Now everybody know what went wrong, people see you are willing to compensate (which i dont see as important at the moment, i just wanted this corrected)

oh ok,i had the opossite impression and i found it strange because LS people are honest on their dealings. Personally I would be satisfied with that. I don't see how they screwed you.

anyway, from what i see you pretty much resolved the issue.

The difference is that mistakes can be fixed, but posts don't get removed. If you search "Lightspeedcash" here on gfy you will see hundreds of positive threads, and this one.

And yes, i was highly frustrated yet gave Rochard the chance to solve this before making it public.

He said (i can copy and paste if you want) that the only answer he can give is that he doesnt see anything wrong on the ls side. Case closed.

And they will aso see that you found the problem and will compensate it.

We can ask Lensman if this thread can be removed. Fine with me.

I understand you are pissed off, so was i.

I simply, at this point cannot say sorry for posting this. I feel bad about it but cannot say sorry.

i told Rochard up front i would post here if he closed the case that easily.

His response was closing the case that easily.

i almost fainted to that thread title, sucks you had bad enough luck to pick up the codes at the wrong moment, shit happens

you were right about the ass kissing part though:
not many sponsors are going to admit this kind of error on their part AND offer a compensation

btw see sig for a correct linking code

That happened to me as well. I had added links for the LS Girls site and realized after a couple days they were not working.

I fixed all the links with this command:

find tgp -name '*.html' -exec perl -pi -e 's/stats.lightspeedcash/www.lightspeedcash/g' {} \;

whether it was the right or wrong place to bring it --at least the rest of us know we may have bad links. Steve also posted "were" the bad links were pulled out of. if we've pulled our links from there, we know they're bad.

and the folks at Lightspeed could always take a lesson from the folks at Insight Adult and just start terminating webmasters who mention their program on a board in anything other than "glowing" terms. or was it just mentioning them at all ... i'm a little fuzzy on that one.

Damn. Honesty works. I wonder if everyone here would have owned up to this?

good that this has been solved

sure, mistakes can always happen, no big deal... but i can fully understand that you were kinda frustrated and finally posted this case here (even with a bad feeling in your stomach).

No, if you had bad linking codes, you would not see any traffic counted at all. Looks like your traffic doesn't fit very well with reel18

That is why we offer lots of different sites. LightspeedGirls.com is converting the best for us in the last 30 days.

Our staff is available to discuss traffic issues every day, including weekends. Louisa even regularly emails affiliates whose stats are below average to see if we can work together to improve the ratios. Did you take advantage of our services before you posted this?

I too noticed links that were once working were no longer working all of a sudden. They went to a 404 page and I was told it was my trade script that was causing it. It didn't do that before but now it was? Oh well, I don't use those links anymore.

EDITED: I see Steve's post so that explains things I guess.

LOL! Yeah my links basically said click here for free porn, you don't have to pay. Just kidding!

Nope all that traffic is pure movie traffic listed on sites like Jizzhut, Vidsvidsvids, Shemp etc...

It's too bad things didn't work out, but I'm not pissed about it. Steve has done so many nice things for me in the past I don't really care about the traffic.

The reason I wanted to bring these stats up was maybe to show that there might be a problem with your linking codes and or revenue tracking software.

looks worse than that, it seems like he used his ref link as a popunder or something, not clicked traffic

The most polite way to say shaving i've ever seen

if ls shaves they must be doing a real good job, i send way less traffic and stay at 1:500 max.

(DH you must be pushing the wrong sites )
