:stop What was your first car?

Mine was a 87' Firebird Formula. I was 19 when I got it (6 years ago). I only had it for a year cuz I managed to rack up a lot of tickets, which assraped my insurance rate. Lots of good racing stories with this one.

It had 5.0 tags but the guy I bought it from had the engine worked to a 5.7 350. He even showed me the receipt and shit. The car was in such crappy condition though, the owner surely beat the fuck out of it. First day I had it, the Y pipe disconnected from the cat converter when I tried racing some kid with the same car... the damn pipe was barely connected to it the cat to begin with... I then learned what the last owner meant by 'it has a little exhaust leak'. RIGHT.

I didnt care about the cars condition when I got it, cuz when he first turned the car on, and I heard the low rumble of the flowmasters, I was SOLD.

The great thing about buying a sports car that needs work on it, is each time you fix something, its like ya just got a new car.

I ended up selling it to a kid just as dumb / in lust with the car as I was when I first heard it. But I had a semi-decent sound system put in it, maybe he was sold on that sound, I dunno.

oh yea.... any1 who knows these cars know the backseats are a JOKE. I still managed to fuck a lot of girls in the backseat... and I even did quite a few 69's... but getting UP from those was fucking a royal pain in the ass, and back, and neck.. I thought I would share this info, because, I felt you needed to know that.

So what was / is your first car?

Fun times.

what a piece of crap, but the best $400 I ever spent. You could fit 6 people in the trunk and pop them through the backseat once you were inside the drive-in.

I'm a bit too tired to do the math, but it was about 1985 when I was sixteen or seventeen years old. I had a four year old Renult 18i. It was a four banger with leather seats...... It was peppy enough, and the girls loved it because it was something no one else had - you couldn't buy an 18i in the states.

1975 BMW 2002 great car I managed to destroy the car within a month. It had been sitting outside for 2 years not being driven and the whole thing was rusty. Good thing I got it for free. I was 17, fun little car to drive, I still drive a beemer today, a modified 1984 325, I've had it for about 12 years now don't think I'll ever sell it, it's just too much fun to drive. Like a little gocart. I actually have 2 of them a completely stock 1986 325 in awsome condition with full service records from new.

In 1993 I bought a 1979 Chevy Malibu that I paid $300 bucks for and had for a year. had a 267 V-8 in there. The car was the biggest pile of shit imaginable, broke down every 3 weeks on schedule.

Upgraded to a 86 ford Escort that was really not that bad, like driving a Go-cart. Had that for a year and trashed the front end in an accident where I slid on ice and destroyed a 1976 Ford Granada that the kid driving stole from his parents garage. Kid had no license, the parents reported the car stolen. It was wild.

Bought a new front end for the escort for $100 at a junk yard and slapped it on there and traded the Escort for a 1990 Thunderbird. had that until 1996.

90 Tbird slammed by a drunk driver and totalled. Got a nice Insurnace settlement and bought a 1997 Tbird LX brand new and had that til 2000 when hit by another drunk driver.

Met my wife, she had a 95 Grand Prix. ( hated it) and we sold that and bought a 2000 Dodge Durango R-T and a 1995 Jeep Wrangler the same day. Dodge is mine, Jeep is hers.

Sold the Wralnger in 2001 and bought a new Jeep Liberty Limited Edition.

Durango almost never is driven, just sits in the garage, goes out 1 time a week if that........totally mint.

We got new cars when we turned 16 (my family was SO dumb, lol!) I had a 1979 Celica. It was blue and I ended up putting 160K miles on it before it finally died 7 years later. I never changed the oil and only replaced the brakes and tires when they were destroyed. I loved that car, but it taught me to buy MY son a 10 year old car when he turned 16.
