anyone use TMPGEnc?
Hey-
I ripped some DVDs from Red Light District that we licensed to VCD (mpeg) format, but I need to compress it before I chop it up and put it out for our members. I have heard that I can use TMPGEnc for this, by manipulating the bitrate or frame rate or something. Has anyone done this before? When I go in there to mess around with the mpg and I load it, the audio loads itself fine...but when I go into the menu where it looks like I will be able to manipulate all the settings (frame rate, screen size, etc) none of the menus are lit up so that i can change them...they are all dimmed and I cant do anything at all. Can anyone help me out? Can I do this, or can I only encode them in DivX and have my members download the codec to get them smaller. Thanks in advance for any help. |

I'm not sure what the problem is, make sure you installed all codecs. But I wouldn't recommend touching the frame rate, you don't want your movie to skip a frame every 10 or so frames. It's very annoying and noticable, trust me ;)
