Ok, first off, why should she give up her career? There's nothing says that she can't have her own career too. I don't blame her if she DOESN'T want to give it up. A relationship should be based on mutual respect, and expecting a woman to drop her job and be the dutiful little housewife is NOT a sign of respect. Maybe she loves her work? If you can't accept her AND her career choices, you aren't going after the right woman. You need one of the servile little women who'll stay home, have babies, and live from your money. There's lots around!

If she's into those kinds of careers though, she's a smart lady (or one would hope). Appreciate her for what she is, don't try to change her (remember, after all, she's accepting you for YOU too, and comprimise is part of good relationships). She'll stick around a LOT longer if she feels like she doesn't have to be lesser. Trust me on this one. Just watch out though, I hear those politicians can be a shady bunch :P

The same could be said of men? How many men have you seen who just want sex? How is that less shallow? I think part of the problem though, is you're looking in the wrong place for women, or you're looking for the WRONG kind of woman. Most women DO want a sense of financial security in a long-term relationship. Some women are just users. Why should what you do interfere with her career? You're an "Internet Entrepreneur". Would it be neccessary to discuss further what you do? I honestly doubt anyone would find out, let alone care. I think that half the reason relationships today don't work is because people think as long as they love each other, everything will be perfect. That's a nice thought, but it's very far from the truth. Loving relationships require WORK AND EFFORT, and if you aren't willing to put that in (and it IS a two-way street), stop bothering. Love is NOT easy, it's not a cure-all. It's an emotion, and like any other emotion it can change, grow, shrink, or disappear altogether. Only by working to nuture it can it truly succeed.
