i looked at all those links and them companies all look top notch with a nice portfolio to boot.

I did a free design for this guy to try and help him out and fix this mess. I turned over the design and never heard from him. Lucky it was just a screenshot and a mock up of what he already had since i was trying to fix this mess he is in.

Funny how they always knock designers but when they shit all over an honest one they dont care.

The girl in the logo,which is located on both layouts, was hand drawn by my illustrator.

after getting bad remarks on both layouts we knew this was a human being that will never be satisfied, even if we gave him the world. we tried working with him on improving the existing layouts, but he was set to see a brand new layout everytime. For all we knew he was collecting all these graphical interfaces for 1 low price, something we found not amusing. Although his instructions ("blue, eye catching, simple to the point, tidy, easy navigation") where met on both interfaces we created, he still seemed unsatisfied :( we drop clients like this quick. Sure the deposit is kept, designers time is money. We don't work for free buddy :) Our contract even states "deposit non-refundable".

I'm totally with you on that one. I got a client 2 weeks ago asking me for a design and asking me if i would reimburse him if he didn't like it. I don't know why i said yes but i did... i make the splash page, "excellent" is what he said and tells me to go on with the tour page and join page... which i did... suddenly, after everything being done, i get a message from him saying his partners don't like it and blah blah blah he wants his money back! who the fuck do they think we are? no brain monkeys!?

I'm glad my b/f isn't doing design work now!
