my town ready to riot

In march a police shooting happened and it has started alot of ill feelings in people here. This is the view that the news put on the air http://www.goregasm.com/openlink.php?id=7090 , but it does not say the whole story here is another angel that will settle alot of the bull http://www.goregasm.com/openlink.php?id=6173 , I wonder what is stopping the police from making sure everyone knows what really happened.

Seems quite obvious to me, He pointed a gun at a cop. If you don't kill em all in your first clip and your in the open expect to be shot in the back of the head. Seems logical to me. I have no remorse for situations like this. With several family members in the force I am by no means a supported of them easily... but if it were me, I don't care if Im wearing a badge I would've shot as soon as I saw the gun. And not in the back like they did, I would've gone for the white of the eyes.

Are you fucking kidding?!!! A CELL PHONE!?! From the choppy vid it looks like a gun... but any idiot from that distance can tell the difference. Now I change... suicide by cop aggreed but fuck me. $@*$@(* Lock up the cops that shot and throw the key. They better have one hell of an excuse that was a few feet, not even a few meters!

I can tell at 10 meters looking down my sites the difference between a cellphone and a gun (with one eye closed even)... if you cant do so much at >3' you shouldn't be a cop. Case closed.

many years ago, must have been '84 or '85...anyway there was a kid and his buddy leading the Dallas police on a wild chase down I-30.

Ended up with them pulling the kid over...cops all get out pull their guns and tell them to put their hands up.

The passenger complies, but his friend driving doesn't.

He starts laughing and then quickly puts his hands up like he's got both hands on a big gun with his fingers pointing out.

snap, crackle, pop. The kid was no more.

why even take the time to analyze what the person is grabbing? if the person isn't listening to you and pulls something out. oh well.

in that case above, the guy had his back turned i dont see how they could possible shoot him in the back though.

Just watched the videos, and yeah he was pointing it exactly like a gun.

I've said it before here, on a couple of threads regarding police brutality etc and I'll say it again.

If the cops come running at you, and instead of just stopping and complying with whatever orders they give you, you decide to run or fight...well then you've changed the rules of the game.

Sure there are still laws involved...but you are now dealing with humans. And if it comes down to whether the perp goes home to his family that night, or the cop...guess what? The guy with the gun stands the better chance.

No it's not right for anyone toviolate anyone's civil rights. But once again, you change the rules of the game you gotta know that it can end up bad like this.

Even though he had his back to them, he was moving away and turning and acting as though he were taking aim.

Who cares if his back is to you or not, if you think he's going to shoot you you would have taken him out too.

Count the rounds, I would've plinked him in the face with the first two shells before he turns... let alone the cop on the right firing at LEAST 4 rounds followed by 2 from the other cop that finally dropped him.. Krazy, any word on how many rounds actually hit? This seems absurd to me.

Exactly. This is a case of either inexperienced panic, or sheer overzealous frustration on part of the officers.

Clearly, when the shots were fired, the suspect was in an evasive motion. He was shot in the back of the head, which is consistent with a frustrated cop furious that the suspect isn't listening to orders, and lets loose on him. It's an execution.

You guys saying this dude had it comin, or that the cops did the right thing here obviously don't watch reality TV. Cops are trained to handle far more aggressive circumstances than was apparent from that video.

And if they did believe he had a weapon, the cop on the right was in PERFECT position to disable the suspects arm that held the object in question by shooting him in the shoulder so it was immobilized. Instead, he took a sniper-like headshot. 4 of them in fact. Pretty blatent incompetence.

Put it this way, why does not matter. The fact of the matter was there was too much delay between the first shots fired and the and pointing of the cell phone. Its either a n00b cop locking up with a delayed reaction or they were venting. I've gone to several training seminars and watched video of uncles on SWAT and DEA beat handeling situations far less intence then this with much less then leathal force. No excuse.

Obviously the guy was a fucking moron, but it's pretty clear that he was holding a cellphone - in fact it looks like a Samsung flip phone.

Exactly, and if you go another couple seconds into the footage you have the cop on the left "staring down the barrel" or antenna in this case of a fucking cell. Had that been a pistol or even a cap gun he would've been shot by all 3 cops at once in the face.

Murderous pigs. Many years ago some pig near us shot a 12 year old kid in the back and killed him. He was carrying a screwdriver which the pig said looked like a gun. Yeah, right.

I've heard that all together too many times and had all together too many "guns" pointed at me to fall for it.

There were two kids just walking down the street. The pig called out to them and when they turned a bit, the screwdriver flashed and the pig opened fire. He was cleared of all charges but karma is a bitch.

Excactly. It's all bullshit... but then again I'd like to think a serious honest mistake can be made and if it really was a mistake then fuck, you have your own guilt to punish you.... if that doesn't do the trick then watchout in your next life asshole.

suicide by cop - and the cops did the right thing.

OBVIOUSLY the guy was wacked out on drugs or booze.

cops need to kill a few more people like this and have the videos published as LEGAL KILLINGS. Then maybe more people would take them seriously when they tell you to stop and lye down.

If you hearnestly beleive this then let me carry my 40cal in traffic and see how many pissed of selective killings I make in a day just how some of these c-u-n-t-s drive. There has to be some limit as much as I'd like an open season to be announced on all idiots. These guys are no different from you and I, except most likely a lower education and pay. High school diploma and cop school.... woweee I've had enough run ins to know I'd shoot a few cops given the legal oportunity under this basis.

Looks to me like he was mocking the officer. Probably hoping he thought it was a gun, or perhaps oblivious to the fact that it was possible they could mistake it for one.

Either way, the situation was poorly handled by the officers in pursuit. It appeared there were several opportunities for one of the officers to disable his arm with one shot. No need to execute him when his back was turned. If they thought it was a weapon, they could have shot him when he turned to them, not when he was in an evasive manuver.

No need to execute him when his back was turned. If they thought it was a weapon, they could have shot him when he turned to them, not when he was in an evasive manuver.
Fuck I spend $1.25 per round I fire, and each gold dot hollow point P+ round will take a limb. There's no reason for execution... taking an arm and a leg off perhaps... but 8 9mm rounds is GAY!!!!

According to what I've read about ATF doctine, "the officer should shoot to disable the attacker as quickly as possible, consistent with the officer's shooting abilities and the tactical situation." The officer only needs to fire one shot more than required to stop the threat to be liable for both criminal and civil penalties for using excessive force.

There were two things about that video that don't seem right. One is that they shot him when his back was turned, and the other is the number of shots they fired. I'll have to look at the video again, but it seemed like an excessive number of rounds against a suspect who was clearly taking an evasive posture at the time.

I understand that cops are only human. They're not immune to fear, anger, and adrenaline. But that doesn't exempt them from questionable activity.

Spoken like a true marksmen. Unless your intent is death, 8 rounds is joke material even with a glock ;P
