my town ready to riot
In march a police shooting happened and it has started alot of ill feelings in people here. This is the view that the news put on the air http://www.goregasm.com/openlink.php?id=7090 , but it does not say the whole story here is another angel that will settle alot of the bull http://www.goregasm.com/openlink.php?id=6173 , I wonder what is stopping the police from making sure everyone knows what really happened.

Seems quite obvious to me, He pointed a gun at a cop. If you don't kill em all in your first clip and your in the open expect to be shot in the back of the head. Seems logical to me. I have no remorse for situations like this. With several family members in the force I am by no means a supported of them easily... but if it were me, I don't care if Im wearing a badge I would've shot as soon as I saw the gun. And not in the back like they did, I would've gone for the white of the eyes.

many years ago, must have been '84 or '85...anyway there was a kid and his buddy leading the Dallas police on a wild chase down I-30.
Ended up with them pulling the kid over...cops all get out pull their guns and tell them to put their hands up. The passenger complies, but his friend driving doesn't. He starts laughing and then quickly puts his hands up like he's got both hands on a big gun with his fingers pointing out. snap, crackle, pop. The kid was no more. |

I've said it before here, on a couple of threads regarding police brutality etc and I'll say it again. If the cops come running at you, and instead of just stopping and complying with whatever orders they give you, you decide to run or fight...well then you've changed the rules of the game. Sure there are still laws involved...but you are now dealing with humans. And if it comes down to whether the perp goes home to his family that night, or the cop...guess what? The guy with the gun stands the better chance. No it's not right for anyone toviolate anyone's civil rights. But once again, you change the rules of the game you gotta know that it can end up bad like this. |

Who cares if his back is to you or not, if you think he's going to shoot you you would have taken him out too. |
Why didnt the cop shoot him when he pointed it? Why did he wait that 10 seconds?
|
Count the rounds, I would've plinked him in the face with the first two shells before he turns... let alone the cop on the right firing at LEAST 4 rounds followed by 2 from the other cop that finally dropped him.. Krazy, any word on how many rounds actually hit? This seems absurd to me.
|
they hit him eight times before he finally went down.
|
BUAHAHAHA holy fuck... what kinda sissy pistols are they issued out there? He's dead right?
|
9mm glocks yea he died at the sceen.

Clearly, when the shots were fired, the suspect was in an evasive motion. He was shot in the back of the head, which is consistent with a frustrated cop furious that the suspect isn't listening to orders, and lets loose on him. It's an execution. You guys saying this dude had it comin, or that the cops did the right thing here obviously don't watch reality TV. Cops are trained to handle far more aggressive circumstances than was apparent from that video. And if they did believe he had a weapon, the cop on the right was in PERFECT position to disable the suspects arm that held the object in question by shooting him in the shoulder so it was immobilized. Instead, he took a sniper-like headshot. 4 of them in fact. Pretty blatent incompetence. |

but why do you think he was pointing it like that? In the second vid you can see that he is either pulling up or reaching into his pants , then turns to point it again . why??? |
Put it this way, why does not matter. The fact of the matter was there was too much delay between the first shots fired and the and pointing of the cell phone. Its either a n00b cop locking up with a delayed reaction or they were venting. I've gone to several training seminars and watched video of uncles on SWAT and DEA beat handeling situations far less intence then this with much less then leathal force. No excuse.

Obviously the guy was a fucking moron, but it's pretty clear that he was holding a cellphone - in fact it looks like a Samsung flip phone.

Murderous pigs. Many years ago some pig near us shot a 12 year old kid in the back and killed him. He was carrying a screwdriver which the pig said looked like a gun. Yeah, right.

blah, so many dupe responces tonight... either Im quicker then the board or I need to eat some breakfast! Sorry guys.

suicide by cop - and the cops did the right thing.
OBVIOUSLY the guy was wacked out on drugs or booze. cops need to kill a few more people like this and have the videos published as LEGAL KILLINGS. Then maybe more people would take them seriously when they tell you to stop and lye down. |

Either way, the situation was poorly handled by the officers in pursuit. It appeared there were several opportunities for one of the officers to disable his arm with one shot. No need to execute him when his back was turned. If they thought it was a weapon, they could have shot him when he turned to them, not when he was in an evasive manuver. |

There were two things about that video that don't seem right. One is that they shot him when his back was turned, and the other is the number of shots they fired. I'll have to look at the video again, but it seemed like an excessive number of rounds against a suspect who was clearly taking an evasive posture at the time. I understand that cops are only human. They're not immune to fear, anger, and adrenaline. But that doesn't exempt them from questionable activity. |
