Ok, guys, im not sure anyone read this but what you guys want to really do is alreay in place and everything has been working for some time with lots of stats, clans etc.. I dont mean to rain on anyones parade and I dont care if you do your own im just wondering why there is a need to recreate a wheel unless its just some thing you have to do..


If you want to work together on the server Hoax with us let us know as well we could use another person helping out..

anyhow we have a game set up for tomorrow THUR 7pm pacific time zone.. and hell ill throw in to the winner with the most kills a copy of BF1942 and C&C generals..!!

q2, q3, rtcw, warcraft 3... would all be good.

With a map editor we could put sponsor ads on towers/walls etc.. easy as.

and travolta.. and goatse..

I think this is a great idea. No one would have "skillz" over anyone else from the start - we'd all be on new ground.
That would be a test of true skills.

I can make/edit maps. I use worldcraft, aka: hammer. i can map for HL + CS, hammer will make maps for many games though.

same but it was AGES ago, I used 3dsmax and an exporter.. I wouldn't mind doing a few levels or remapping old ones for GFY when i've got time to kill. I'd need to get the current level editors though.

I've always been more of a doom/quake guy than CS myself... some of the q2 maps and mods were the finest ever.. anyone remember the mod with the smiley-faced jumping player seeking grenades?

I think we could get something really great happening with a few of the guys here especially anyone capable of altering mods..

I havea couple mods i would like to produce with the HL engine...

ex. "Frag Football, Basket Brawl"

desert combat would be the most fun... i mean, why just run around and shoot only (cs, q2/3/) when you can do that PLUS fly helicopters, planes, guided missles, drive tanks, hummers, boats, etc, all while having several diff weapon classes and having maps that are incredibly large and well made. You get to own on land, sea, and air.

with games like THIS out, you guys are talking about playing old school games like CS and quake 2? wtf.

but if you guys wanna do jus a shooter game, i would suggest Americas Army Operations. #1 its free, #2 it has great graphics and #3 the gameplay is pretty realistic. Out of all the FPS games ive played, this one actually makes me feel like im in the situation, and the only game that gets my heart REALLY pumping (especially when im the last on my team).

its nice to play a game where you have to utilize stealth tactics, as opposed to playing CS or q2/3 or even sof2 where if you sit still for more then 5 seconds you got every one crying 'camper'.
