I HATE bugs that first pic reminds me of a vingerroon (spelling?) its like part scorpian and part spider and when it bites it leaves a vingery taste in your mouth hence the name I was introduced to these when I lived in Louisianna and a friend of mine was sitting on a picnic table and got bite by one of those, she had no clue til a few days later when she noticed black skin that was caving in and was rushed to the er because she was extrememly sick..... needless to say all the skin around the bite turned into a hole.

and in la there are some nasty spiders, one time my friend told me NEVER step on a spider... and I thought what the fuck.. well one day I saw this big fat black spider and on impulse slammed my foot on it and screamed when I picked my foot up and there were hundreds of BABY spiders running everywhere..... it was a mother spider that carries 100's of her baby spiders on her back. eww It's always interesting to move all over the US and experience all the nasty different bugs... NOT!

I found something that looks like the spider we saw on this website that you posted, NBDesign. It looks like it may have been the Phidippus johnsoni. Only the one we saw was a little more compact and not quite so darkly colored and it was WAY bigger! WAY, WAY bigger! It may be some member of the phidippus genus.

EWW! One time I found a little ball in a spider web in my back yard (I was like 13 or so at the time) and I thought it might be a bug that a spider had wrapped up and I wanted to see what it looked like. So I took two sticks and I pried the thing open and hundreds of little baby spiders rushed out at me! Needless to say, I never did THAT again! Eek!

hehe, i hate big spider but the small ones are ok.
I got a friend who gets scared as hell when he see a spider.

(bad spelling alert!)
one time I was fixing my motocross in the garage and I saw my friend walking abit down the street, i took a bit of paper and a screw and i put a little long legged spider in the paper with the screw.
And when my friend comes to the garage I tell him to open the paper and give me the screw and he grabes it and starts to open it and then he screaming and starts running around like crazy and take his clothes of and shouting "its inside my t-shirt! its inside my t-shirt!".
Hehe I laughed my ass off.

I have a pet spider chilling on my back window that is pretty huge and creepy looking. I'll have to get a picture and post it tomorrow.

I think it's a golden orb spider. We feed it beetles whenever we find them... it's fun to watch that big fucker eat.

I don't get you folks who are scared of spiders. I used to have like 6 pet tarantulas, and ever since then I love em. I always catch them and release them outside, I don't kill them.

I kill them out of lazyness when my wife finds them and runs around screaming. I wouldn't care if they moved in with me personally.

When I was an exchange student in Paraguay, me and my friends would go out and catch tarantuals. We'd get a pice of string, put some chewing gum on the end of it, push it down the holes they live in, and they'd bite on it immediately. Then we'd make them fight and bet on it. That was fun

Nastiest insect thing that has happened to me was over there as well. I got infected by some worms in my feet!! Apparently some sort of a fly laid it's eggs on my feet, and then they hatched and went under my skin. After about a week I couldn't walk, at first we thought it was a tarantula bite, and I got some medicine that made me sick as fuck. But when we discovered what it was, my host mother put some poision on my foot, and when the worms were dead, she squeesed them out. That really fucking hurt. And I really wish I would have looked the other way

The creatures most correctly called daddy-longlegs are in their own separate Order which is Opiliones. Common names for this Order are 1) daddy-longlegs, 2) harvestmen and 3) opilionids. They are characterized by having one basic body segment which shows segmentation on the posterior portion, at most 2 eyes and all 8 legs attach to the pill-like body segment. They are usually found under logs and rocks, prefer moist habitat although they can be found in the desert, often have long flexible legs (in the temperate Northern hemisphere but there are also short-legged daddy-longlegs) and they do not produce silk so therefore they are never found in webs unless they are being eaten by spiders. Because they are found under logs and other stuff which people most often are not turning over, most folks don't run into daddy-longlegs very often.
Ironically, "Daddy long legs" have the most virilent venom of any spider-type species in North America. The ironic part of that is that their mouth parts are almost microscopically small, their mouth is simply too small to bite into the flesh of any but the tiniest of creatures.

Are there Tarantula's in Houston?????
I'm from Kansas and just moved to Texas...
I think I have seen more spider's this year
than any year! I have already been bitten
in California (I think) been to the doctor's
3 times since it happened! If you are bitten
try to see if you can find the spider that did
it, take it with you to the doctor's!

I hate spider's

I keep hearing that's a rumor. But I've also heard that if a cat eats one then it will die in a few minutes. I don't know which to believe...
