NEWPORT, Tenn. - Two teenage stepbrothers who told police they were mimicking a video game when they randomly fired at cars on a freeway were sentenced to juvenile prison Thursday for killing one person and wounding another.

That defense didn't seem to work for the "trenchcoat mafia" in the columbine shootings in 99. They of course cited "The Matrix" for causing their behavior.

Um... no genius, you're comparing 2 totally different kinds of people.

The people that say there's nothing wrong with guns are the same people that believe if you use your gun to harm other people, then you should be held responsible for your actions. This isn't a blame game. This is reality. You fire a weapon, YOU are responsible. Not some video game production company. MILLIONS of other people have played that same game and aren't running around killing people. We pull in one whack job who isn't willing to take responsibility for his actions and his lawyer thinks it's cute to pass the blame.

Same thing that happened a couple years ago in Columbine. Nobody wanted to admit that they failed as parents, their kids were fuck-ups, and their kids were brutal murderers. Instead, they wanted to shift the blame to music, video games, TV, and movies.

That's bull shit. I've been playing Doom since I was 11, watching Die Hard since I was 10, and listening to Marilyn Manson since I was 14. Never killed a soul.

The game is rated M for mature meaning that no one under 17 is supposed to have access to it. If the were allowed to play it the parent's should be locked up along with the asshole that sold it to them.
