If your 'agreement' isn't filed and cert'd by the courts, its not worth the paper its written on in Ohio D-. We're dealing with the very laws you are in case you didn't notice my location. lol In our case, his ex (AND her mother) would have to sign it in front of a judge in order to be legal, but I won't go in to that.

Just get a good attorney. If the first hearing doesn't go in your favor (or at least impartial) put in for a different judge.

You can speed up the DNA testing. Come to Columbus or do a Cleveland or Cincy lab. I know Franklin co has a $600 fee or did have. Might be cheaper now. Speed is of the essence or she will have her story and witnesses down pat and THEN you ARE scr*wed. ;-) You also can get a court order for her to show up at said lab for the child to be swabbed.

in our county and because we are not married we are in Juvenal court and not domestic court they will pay for DNA tests - it's on the way - it's just the courts here are slow : ( - also Juvenal court here does not go by the same rules as domestic court it means it's a winner take all case - they won't even offer a joint custody

My daughter is 21 now so I don't have to speak to the ex wife for anything again. But remember. your going to have to have contact with her for many years to come. There is no avoiding it.
Make sure you get something that is best for both parents or
your battles will never end. Also your going to have to get past this ASAP. So do your best to keep yourself busy with as many other projects as you can.

Now you know why I got a vasectomy before I turned 30 :^))
