google PR question

Is there a way to query a domain name
and get all of its pages sorted by PR?

I'm looking for a way to see which pages in a domain
have the highest PR without having to go through
all of them manually.

thnx!

I know of a way you can sort by page within a domain but it won't return specific PR numbers. Rather it's a bubble sort method that's done by recursively performing OR operator requests on Google. I can't really share the method but it is possible to do something like this. How many urls do you have and I can do it for you if it's not too many.

Well, what I'm looking for is a mesure of "popularity"
and knowing which is the most popular page in the
domain, and since I cannot count the traffic that goes there,
PR would be the way to go, right?

if you have other ideas, share please.

anyway, WG what's your icq?

Hit me up tomorrow with the list of urls and I'll help you out or post them here.

Um...no. PR would only tell you what page *may* get a few more SE hits and/or is linked to by more or bigger PR sites. Even then though that doesn't always hold true. It may have little relation at all to which page is the most popular.

If you own the domain why on earth can't you access the server logs to see?

This is what he needs to do. PR has nothing to do with traffic levels.

Hmm...I see what you are saying, but I think I have a faster method. I just ran some tests using some scripts I have written that use the google API and I can get a list of pages listed in PR order with one query (at least for the domains I have tested it on).

Well, I don't. This is a big domain where lots of people have sub-domains (something like a big University domain where each student gets a public page of his own). I want to know which one is the most popular/visited/PRed/Whatevered. I can't simply access the logs of the server and I'm not looking for complete accuracy, just a hint on who's on top.

will any of you scripting fellas be able to help me?

I could do it for you, Yafendi. I'll just need a list of the files / urls

Alexa may be perhaps a better way of telling traffic?

If you need any help with this don't hesitate to contact me though, 33375924.

Even so - PR will be of little use in telling you the most popular pages in terms of traffic/visitors.

He is not interested in traffic. He wants links on those pages. Smart way of contacting students looking for a buck/PR exchange.
