:mad Platinumbuck's Freepassbucks BULLSHIT

Okay, I have tried to resolve this professionally and its not working - and as we all know, sometimes it takes a post on GFY to make these companies move.

FIRST - freepassbucks terminates me, claiming that "None of the free memberships ever signed into the members area"

This is COMPLETELE BULLSHIT. I had about 1000 joins in the month they claimed this - and not a single one signed in?? IMPOSSIBLE.

...and don't even SUGGEST I cheat, i've been sending the same traffic to MANY different programs, and only freepassbucks has claimed anything like this - in fact, i get a good ammount of UPSALES with the EXACT SAME TRAFFIC on CECash.

I explained this all to them, and they said they will still pay me, and that my check was sent on the 1st of LAST MONTH.

Well guess what, its now Sept - and STILL NO CHECK.

I know these guys are in Canada, but it does NOT take 32 days for a check to arrive to the US.

I've been in this biz much longer than most, and i'm pissed off and offended enough that they even had the NERVE to imply that i'd cheat.

Someone from platinumbucks needs to contact me NOW.

ICQ 253288438

If i'm offline send a message anyway.

Statistically speaking... a small percentage of mail sent does take weeks and weeks to arrive!

All true... as a sponsor, I've seen it all. Hell, probably 1% +- of all affiliate checks never get cashed.

I think that all programs should have a clause saying "if you go public with a dispute we have the right to with hold all monies due".

I hate dirty laundry in public.

I would agree with you 100% if the sponsor in question wasn't a board spammer. I mean if you spam your programs on public boards, then YOU have opened the door to public biz and discussions about your business. Thats why you don't see a lot of good sponsors, hosts, content producers etc... ever spamming their businesses in public.

I disagree.

Public message boards should be used for communication, not slamming a program publically. A single person - a no one in the industry - can publically slam a large and respected company with little to back him up, and the damage can linger on for months.

This is true. But sadly, some sponsors will only respond to a public dispute.

As an industry we have to police ourselves.

The sponsor's police their affiliates, in some cases by arbitrarily canning their affiliates.

So, who polices the sponsors? If they won't respond to you or give you an unsatisfactory answer, what other choice do you have?

I do think the message board route should be the last option however.

The reason I know I need to post it here, is because they were ignoring e-mails and ICQ's.

I also read someone else posting 'They just keep saying its sent until you give up' in a post made from someone else having a problem with FPB - so that has me extra paranoid.

Listen, i've been in this biz for over 7 years - and ive NEVER been booted from a sponsor. Thats what im really angry about - The fact that my check isnt here yet is just icing on the cake.

Apreciate the thread. Very nice and very tactful.

I remember your accounts, yes we closed you down for suspected fraud. But we said we will pay you.

And we will pay you, If we said we will pay you, we will.

Looking into that right now why you havent receieved your check yet, I am sure it was sent.

there was a dispute that didn't get settled between an avs site and a webmaster. the guy presented it on awi and after some name calling, the avs guy realized he hadn't paid the guy and did so.

sometimes it really does help to make things public.

Its not always the webmaster who is wrong.

And the webmaster is always 1 step behind so eventually if the boards are the only way to get your money then i dont see anything wrong with that.

And what do you suggest happens when sponsors will not respond or pay legitimate affiliates? Oh, how pleasant that would be... "tell the world we're not paying you, and guess what, we're still not paying you!"

If you haven't noticed or been given the privilege to experience, some sponsors don't respond until they're "forced" to. Read the latest HUNGRYMAN thread... perfect example of someone being "forced" to come out from hiding.
