thanks alot KRL!!! thanks to your post, i went to the diner to eat, i just couldnt order any fucking meat without seeing that poor pig in my head.

i ended up eating an american cheese omelette, and a tuna on rie bread.

so what do you guys eat that doesnt include meat?

sucks because my absolute favorite food is cheeseburger

not saying im going vegetarian or anything, but on the days (like tonight) that i just didnt want meat ... i couldnt decide what to eat.

The best advice I can give you is to get quality veggies. Otherwise, it's garbage in, garbage out.

Go to the local market and buy ecologically produced (poison-free) veggies. They're so much better than the mass produced stuff.

Carrots, onions, etc. Make a nice pasta sauce and pour it over pasta. Nice.

i've been a vegetarian for ten years, and my fiance switched about 2 years ago. eating out is sometimes a challenge, but burgerking and mcdonalds have veggie burgers (i don't eat them, but they do have them) plus at resturants, you can always try spaghetti with marinara, any pizza without meat, a baked potato with cheese and broccoli or sour cream, eggs and hashed browns.

many places offer rice or vegetarian refried beans, as well. not to mention chips and salso, potato salad, pancakes.

my favorite meal... maybe pasta with a sour cream and tomato sauce i make myself. or maybe thai noodles of some kind. there are also a few veggie steaks at most health food stores that are really good, and boca makes burgers and chicken that i have fed to people who couldn't tell they weren't meat.

my son is not a vegetarian, but he still loves to eat morningstar farms veggie corndogs, which he says has a taste and texture that rock. they also make a great chicken pot pie with their veggie chicken, and my fiance goes crazy for their sausge patties. their stuff is available in literally every supermarket in l.a. county that i've ever seen.

Well I wasn't trying to convert anyone to veggie. Just keeping the awareness of animal abuse in the spotlight so at least people know what happens. And yes of course those were isolated incidences, but still things can be improved in lots of ways. That's all I'm trying to accomplish. I respect people's rights to eat whatever they want and unfortunately that means billions of animals get whacked, but that apparently is the food chain we have to deal with. I still will eat a Filet Mignon once in a while. Seafood too.

I just mostly love salads, vegetables, fruits, pasta dishes, soy and veggie type burgers, stuff like that as much as possible.
I do it mainly for health reasons. I'm 45 and want to live long. I don't think meat is all that healthy. Especially now with all the growth chemicals they're lacing in there without telling people.

Somehow I think your body does need some meat intake. When I was total veggie, without even eating fish, I just didn't feel that great.

I just get grossed out now whenever I look at meat. Just thinking about what it really is kind of ruins the desire for it.

Its their most damning fault.

They scream FUR IS MURDER but then eat Salmon. I am sure that Salmon didnt feel any pain when it was bred and caught and gutted alive and had its eggs stolen for other products.

Well for the record, I'm hoping one day they can just create completely synthetic foods. That would be the ultimate way to go.

And I'm sure that will happen. At the rate the world is growing we won't be able to sustain the population with the resources we currently have. So someone better come up with a solution.
