What's the best way to make mp3's?
What's the best way to make mp3's out of full cd's? So that the song labels are correct, and each song is it's own file?
I bought an mp3 player for my car, and I wanna burn as many cd's as possible. ![]()

just make sure you encode at 192kbps! that's the standard rate nowadays
![]() a lot of those 'jukebox'/all-inclusive programs encode at shitty bit rates, i'd reccomend audiograbber |

![]() I've used Easy CD-DA extractor for the past few years. Highly configurable, but easy to use. I recommend. |

Some gay bear guy recommended CDEX to me.
Its nothing pretty but it kicks ass. the CDDb is what labels all the songs. Check it out, its free. http://www.cdex.n3.net/ http://cdexos.sourceforge.net/downloads.php This is what I rip with unless I am making wmvs with Windows media Player ;)

I'd go for AudioCatalyst... probably the best encoding algorithm since it's a Fraunhofer product

Definately AudioCatalyst.
Small, fast and quality! With it's various options for CDDA extracting, it gets the best even of old and scratched audio cd's. |

CDex. Works great and it's free. You can encode in mp3, ogg, vqf, wma, wav... It will automatically name the tracks too.
