HELP with Sobig virus... PLEASE!

Ok, I haven't got the virus.

But I'm still getting a shit load of emails. Norton anti virus 2003 is stopping and deleting them but they are STILL dropping in my inbox and require a manual delete...

Using outlook express, how the fuck do I get it to drop them in the deleted folder instead of the inbox?

Please, no BS answers... I know there are a million threads about this all over but I still haven't found an answer.

In Outlook Express go to Tools > Message Rules > Email

Mail Rules > New
Select "Where the Subject line contains specific words"
AND
"Delete it"

click the underlined "Specific words" in the rule descriptions filed and add:
'Thank you!' or 'That movie' or 'Details' or 'Approved' 'Your application' or 'Wicked screensaver'

"MessageLabs researchers believe that there is a link between the Sobig author and the spamming community and that machines that are compromised by Sobig are being used as distribution stations for spam e-mail, Sunner said. "

Download Mailwasher. You can delete the virus' off your mail server before you download them with Outlook.

NAV 2003 works well for me. Go to Options, then select Email, and make sure that "Repair then silently delete if unsuccessful" is selected

Is there a way to have outlook detect .pif attachments and just auto delete them before downloading?

I'm confused why isn't your host deleting these messages for you. We don't allow these messages to reach customers on our servers we send that shit back to the fucker with the following:

This message has been rejected because it has
a potentially executable attachment "your_details.pif"
This form of attachment has been used by
recent viruses or other malware.
If you meant to send this file then please
package it up as a zip file and resend it.

You should just redirect the emails with attachement in another folder. And u can just look at the emails you want to open or not .

When will this fucking flood of 1000 virus emails a day stop. No wonder why thehun changed his contact page to a form instead of listing his email long ago. He must have been getting 100,000 email viruses a day.
