2 Questions for Netbilling

1) Was thinking about getting my own merchant account, but in today's landscape am worries about getting TMF'd. Is that a real concern these days and how hard/easy is it to get TMF'd? I'm sure you guys are biased, ;-) , but would love some honest feedback.

2) Do you guys have any experience with that quick merchant account from Cardservice you see around the Web (here's an example: http://www.directnic.com/features/merchant.php)? Heard anything good/bad?

Thanks

I am not Netbilling but I can give you some of my experience, Just because you are on the TMF does not necessarily mean that you have done something wrong. Merchants are supposed to contact the bank that placed you there to see why. By the book rules say that you are not to reject a merchant because he/she is on the list.

I have had mixed results with cardservice, but mostly good. If you want to ICQ me I will give you all the assistance that I can.

I'm not netbilling either, but I can tell you that if you're going over the 1% ratio for an extended period of time, you'll get TMF'd. The best way to guard against this is to invest some money into good scrubbing and customer service. Our company offers a service called Chargeback Combat, where we work hard to resolve your chargebacks even after they come in. We call up the customers who chargedback and ask them to drop the dispute.

Allow me to also put in a good word for Netbilling. They've got a great system and several of our clients are using them. Their system gives you total control over your accounts and the level of scrubbing you want to do, which is a very good thing.

Victoria,

Thanks for the kind words about us. I have heard good things about adultrep as well.

Philip,

Sorry for the delay....

Whether you are with a 3rd party processor, or have you own merchant account, you must keep you chargebacks down or you could lose the account and be TMFed. The rules are the same for both since November of last year. Please call us to discuss and see our system. You will be very pleased.
