All of us old enough to remember 'Nam or were IN it knows how to read between the lines of this op-ed piece in the Washington Times.

All it translates into is a growing Republican agenda to re-install the draft.

So think about it. I doubt if it'll gain steam amongst the people but then again the people have had to take a backseat to legal manipulations of late.

really no point of draft,, aslong as the economy is bad people are still joining the military voluntary

I don't think there really is anything wrong with a draft per se.

But I think there should be options.

I think once you turn 18 you should have to do 2 years of service.

Wether that's in the military, or in some form of humanitarian aid/charity work.

2 yrs is too much but yes imho every man should go through military training, 6 months should be minimum
