Just got this from Glo-billl

This email serves as a written confirmation that we received your inquiry letter relating to the settlement package being prepared by ZMA Industries, Inc. of St. Kitts.
ZMA Industries, Inc. will send a settlement package to you at the email address you provided, between September 30, 2003 and October 15, 2003.

Please note that ZMA Industries, Inc. has a new mailing address in St. Kitts and our former Post Office Box address is no longer valid. HOWEVER, if you are receiving this email, that means we already received your letter and you do NOT need to send it again.

For future reference, our new address is:

ZMA Industries, Inc.
Armory Building, Suite 3476
Victoria Road
Basseterre, St. Kitts
St. Kitts and Nevis
East Caribbean

As previously noted, the technical services company we have contracted with will continue its services through the expiration of your user database. We recognize that there have been problems with the expiration of usernames and passwords in the recent past. However, we have been assured that the technical issues have been identified and resolved and users should be expiring normally. You can use the refresh command on your former stats page to remove any user(s) which have not expired properly; And if you continue to experience problems, simply delete your GloBill monthly users on August 25, 2003 and that will eliminate the last of the expired users.

Thank you for your continued cooperation.

Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

I got that too. I'm not so sure what exactly to expect from a settlement package that will be sent to my email.

Whoa, pam? When did you get here? I remember a year or two ago when I was trying to explain AVSs and how you could use them to make more money from your members-only muse area. One day you just dropped the conversation and didn't reply to me. I was also waiting for you to let me know when the chapters for your new book were up so I could give you feedback. I hope it's all going well for you.

I guess I better surf on over and have a look to see what's new. Anyone who wants to read some really good original fiction (especially if you have a bent for darker material) should check out pam's site, http://www.pamphage.com/ .

(ACK! What's with the FPA popup?)

I guess "package" means an offer of some kind in writing, like we can offer you 1 cent on the dollar. If you like it, please print and sign...

Well at least they are still around somewhere. By this time with Lancelot, they were gone and never to be heard from again.

I've already mentally written off they money I lost and moved on. but I will keep my fingers crossed that maybe I can get a little something out of this. We'll see......

Well, I'm glad you found GFY. If you're still looking to make some changes to your members area or squeeze a few more dollars out of it, this is a good place to be.

I've been reading your site for a long, long time. I don't know when my first visit was but I know you were still at your /~pamphage address. Every year or so I go back to read Love Like Suicide and get my fix. What a story.

When I get a little spare time I'll have to read your newest novel. I actually never finished the first one because I find myself re-reading your short stories and one or two of your poems.

If you want to shoot the breeze or you have any questions, my ICQ is 8106140 and you can reach me at webmaster@ (hmm, let me pick a domain) ah... avsweasel.com There, that address goes to a special folder in my email program so I'll be sure to notice it.

Talk to you later,

Maybe Visa should look a little more closely at the third party processors. Or maybe make the CEOs personally responsible after they close down.

Are you serious? Two cents on the dollar?! I will fly to St. Kitts and beat the balls off those mother fuckers. Why should we settle for an amount which is nothing but an an insult - when this fiasco is a direct result of Glo-Bill's mistakes?! Where is our money?

The notice on their site states: "...we were advised that our bank was instructed to terminate our processing in order to avoid threatened fees in the hundreds of thousands of dollars."

I sent the stuff as requested; haven't heard anything yet.

Its all BS anyway, Globill knows very well what each webmaster is owed and just because you don't send in some bullshit info does not mean they don't have to pay you.

Most people with half a brain realize by now that Globill's actions were just a delaying tactic to put some airtime between themselves and webmasters; the money is long gone and obviously their failure has NOTHING to do with banks, Visa, MC, etc.

No doubt the banks were the catalyst but Globill was already insolvent before that happened.

Just thieving scumbags, plain and simple.

I agree - but I still find it hard to believe that we are left without any recourse. I mean, how does a company just walk away owing hundreds of thousands of dollars to thousands of webmasters?

Well I am new to this board and have come in half way through the GloBill saga.

Q) where they always based in St.Kitts & Nevis?

I asked this because if they where then you have 2 chances of getting your money back "dogs chance" and "no chance".

Offshore juristictions are very very difficult to take to court even with the powerfull legal system in the USA.

Just as a point for the future if any "CC" operation id based offshore dont use them, they have probably been set up for the sole purpose of "fucking you over"

They were based in Walnut, CA - They moved offshore almost a year ago in an effort to circumvent the Visa fee requirement.

Then I would have a guess that what they did was to plan the whole thing as a sting from a year ago. Taking the company into a "tax free" juristiction, taking your money, then winding the whole company up without paying anyone.

They have probably moved the money away from St.Kitts and into another "juristiction".

As I said in the other post it is almost impossible to sue an offshore company due the directors and shareholders all being of a "nominee" base and the rules governing these "juristictions"

However as skitten mentioned, one of these dudes owns condo's in Florida, if that is the case then the money can be followed back and he wont be able to get away with it.

Once offshore the money really should stay there if this dude has brought it all back then you have a case on him.

You cant because their addy has a po box... registered needs a signature...here at my post office they said it would probably get lost in the mail a few months then be returned. You cannot send it purolator or fedex because of this and needing a phone number.

Join the list of many. I figure (more or less) they owe me 10K. I say "more or less" because they conveniently turned off all the admin fuctions so I can't say.

The reason I know for sure we won't be paid is they way they turned it off. If it was really because of the banks, they would have made payments and reserve payouts on time (as others have done) and kept the checks and 800 programs going.) That stuff probably made up 10% of my sales, so they could have kept the whole thing going with a tiny staff and maybe even made a few dollars and be around to play another day.

I sure wish somebody would start a bulletin board or something as a clearinghouse for Globill information, I'd like to at least get the corporation and officer's names and call the state attorney generals and let them know about the fraud.

I'm sure it was a U.S. company, the overseas thing was just a dive to avoid paying Visa.

Well if you wanna go after them as a point of principal all you have to do is get a court order for the bank they used to hand over the corporate details.

Ive just opened a US account (I'm in the UK) and the paperwork to do so was unbelievable.

you all have bounced cheques from GloBill according to various threads Ive read so tracking the bank won't be a problem.

Visa will hold the same information.

Maybe if as suggested you create a board for this particular problem and create a consortium to go after them. Once you have enough information you could turn this into a federal matter and the authorities will have no option to put thier millions and legal wieght behind it.
