How to blur out an object using Premieire 6.0?
Trying to 'blur' out a TV in the background of a video that I'm working on. Not sure Sears would appreciate their name on this type of video among other corporations. Is there a way to 'blur' the TV in the background?
Thanks! |

what you need to do is razor the portion of the video where the object you want to remove is showing ... then copy that portion, and add it to the timeline on a new video track exactly in the same place as the original. Then, under "video" (transitions, video, audio) ... look for mosaic under stylize. drag mosaic onto the copied video on the second video timeline. then using effect controls/transparency (make sure that the block of video with mosaic is selected) you can drag what part of the video you want to be pixelated. it is easier to do if you start the pixelation at 200 (then you can see what you are working with) and once you have dragged to what you want pixelated out, then set it to about 25 ...
of course there is probably a blur feature, i prefer and use mosaic. If the object you want to remove is fairly static in the scene, this will be easy. If the object you want to remove is moving all over the place, you will have to razor and pixelate several times... Mikey |

Swwwohh!
That's a lot of work just to cover up the damn TV!! I actually found another (easier) way to do it. I made a rectangle and made it black in Photoshop. Doesn't look too bad! |
