what you need to do is razor the portion of the video where the object you want to remove is showing ... then copy that portion, and add it to the timeline on a new video track exactly in the same place as the original. Then, under "video" (transitions, video, audio) ... look for mosaic under stylize. drag mosaic onto the copied video on the second video timeline. then using effect controls/transparency (make sure that the block of video with mosaic is selected) you can drag what part of the video you want to be pixelated. it is easier to do if you start the pixelation at 200 (then you can see what you are working with) and once you have dragged to what you want pixelated out, then set it to about 25 ...

of course there is probably a blur feature, i prefer and use mosaic.

If the object you want to remove is fairly static in the scene, this will be easy. If the object you want to remove is moving all over the place, you will have to razor and pixelate several times...
