Ohhh I know it's hot here...by our standards lol...and I've never seen them inside before.....but every time I go in the bleedin' kitchen there's movement. Where do they live? Why is it that when I squash (yes sorry but I have no choice) one of them, the rest scatter for cover?

Well, if they are in nice little lines, dont interrupt the line until you figure out where it is coming from :-)

Gosh that's my fear! Have you ever see those progs on tv about termite ants? The ones who eat everything in their path...wooden building, cattle...humans??????? I shall wake up one morning stripped to the bone! (oh those clothes I shall be able to wear...)

Ant traps are those little black things that Raid makes. They have bait inside and when the ant's grab a piece and take it back to the nest, it kills them all off.

When I was a kid, we had ants in our kitchen one summer. We followed a trail all the way across the living room floor to the patio door. There was a humungous BALL of black ants living in the corner of the sliding door, behind where the curtain always bunches up. Raid took care of the nasties.

Get crickets. (The insect kind, not that silly game ya'll play.) Last year we had an ant infestation. This year we have a cricket infestation...but few ants.

Crickets are worse because they're big and they make noise. Plus they jump around and they get all squishy if you accidentally steop on one with your bare feet.

Ants are small and quiet and they can be wiped up with a rag.
