ccbill's new shopping cart thingie pretty lame?

So going straight to ccbill.com and then choosing the adult ticket, i searched for "Tranny" just for fun (no really! just for fun. no other reason! ;) and a bunch of subscription sites come up like this one:

Choose a Subscription:
transsexualnights.com - Learn More Here http://www.transsexualnights.com
We cater to those who have an insatiable hunger for TS/TV. Don't settle for less - Get the Best! See hot she-males strip down and show all! The most beautiful trannys offering up their hot fine bods!
Pricing: $24.95 for 30 days then $24.95 recurring every 30 days
Select A Subscription

so it has the the little pull down menu and i can add to my shopping cart...and yet...none of the urls are actually hotlinked?? what's up with that? people are expected to either a) add stuff to a cart w/o looking at the site, or b) required to cut and paste an url?? and so everyone who signs up for a ccbill site now has the option of going through this lovely shopping cart system?

I don't get this. seems unbelievably lame to me. maybe someone can enlighten me.

Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

It is lame beyond belief. Like you said, urls don't link to the site.

Useless, basically. I expect Visa will get 2 or 3 sales a year out of this.

I suspect the guys at CCBill were laughing their asses off at Visa whenever they got off the conference call, this is such a stupid waste of time.

Sorry for the delay in commenting on this.

The interface that you are referring to was not created as a functional tool designed to compete with our webmasters. We are not here to steal traffic or become referrers to CCBill sites. We are a payment processing company, there are specific requirements that we needed to follow and we made the appropriate changes to follow those requirements.

If your site gets additional exposure from being displayed in the search results, then that?s great?

We know, we aren't laughing at you, we are laughing at Mastercard for being so niave as to think people put memberships in a shopping cart with no tour or even text.

It's REALLY lame - I typed in several keywords which are totally descriptive of my site (as well as dozens of other CCBill sites) and it came up with ZERO results!

And my custom form site description was submitted and approved almost two weeks ago!

What's up CCBill?

How many people do you think are actually going to go straight to CCBill and search for a site? I submit zero.

Interesting though lets think about this for a second......

CCBill know ALL the affiliate programs codes who use their system and, by coincidence, they also know ALL the linking codes.

Wonder who exactly gets the credit when 'surfer a' joins dirtytrannymidgets.com through the affiliates join page and THEN searches for a paysite, finds one and then signs up to that paysite WITHOUT the original webmasters referring code in it......

Things that make you go hmmmm!

CCBill are going to rake it in from this MC BS.

After trying several more search terms which completely describe my site - It finally yielded four pages of results - none of which had dog balls to do with the search terms I typed in...nor was my site included in those results.

It almost seems "fixed" - but I do not see who is going to benefit from this poorly functioning search tool!

I like CCBill, but this is really disappointing.

imbecile....didn't you read what corvett said...To dumb it down for you, CCbill did what they had to do to follow the mastercard rules. By not creating clickable links, it makes it harder for the surfer to leave the site and lose YOU money.

an even simpler translation ..They did JUST ENOUGH to get mastercard off of their back.

And who said anything about clickable links?

They HAVE top parse some info through the join form to identify the sale to both an affiliate OR a merchant OR both.

Has anyone actually viewed the join form source codes on the other sites that surfers can choose to see what aff id's are being parsed through?

and just to simplify what i mean even more as i know the info i have already posted is probably to complex for your tiny pea-sized brain to understand........

1 link code to promote THOUSANDS of paysites

This idea is copyrighted and is my intellectual property this post is now proof of that.

I just received the following from CCBill in reply to my complaint email regarding the E-Ticket search:

Dear Webmaster,

We are currently categorizing upwards of 30,000 sites. Once we come across your site it will be entered into the search engine.

Regards,
Paul K.

At least there is some reasonable explanation...

Board Voyeur, I am going to encourage you to test this theory out and post the results.

That?s all I am going to say about that
