Fold IMPA Into Free Speech Coalition?
http://www.setgo.com/article.html?id...6c638a05200e32
A source says: The IMPA is a single interest group. They're going to get nailed on anti-trust. It might not hold up but it will cost money and time to fight the anti-trust lawsuits. If the IMPA would get their egos out of the way and fold things under the FSC, every dollar will still go to the IMPA. No one can sue for anti-trust violations because the FSC has been doing this stuff since 1991. Free Speech Coalition director Bill Lyon has open-arms to the IMPA. It is the egos of the young turks that keeps the IMPA from doing the sensible thing. A couple of weeks ago, Larry Flynt gave $100,000 to the FSC's legal defense fund. If the IMPA had folded in, that money would've gone to the IMPA. Larry is fighting Acacia too. A few years ago, when JoeE started raising funds for the GIA (General Internet Alliance, composed of the biggest porn webmasters), it was folded in to the FSC. Brad Shaw said to JoeE, have you ever heard of anti-trust? That's when the GIA leaders acted. |

If you have been following some of the other threads on Acacia and Prior Art, then you would have seen me posting under ASACP_CTO. I have moved over to this posting name.
In response to webmasters needing to know more about this issue and what they can do, i have constructed a website at http://www.FightThisPatent.com that i will be updating with news and articles to help keep the webmaster community informed. I am not forming an organization like IMPAI, so what i present won't have any antitrust issues. I'm doing this because this patent really pisses me off, and helping to fight this patent is one way to try and affect positive change. The website is complementary to IMPAI when their site goes up. I've already chatted with Spike at Home Grown Video as a source to submit the prior art leads that i am working on, and any leads that people may submit to the website. I'll post breaking topics and issues to GFY so that everyone can get a chance to make their comments.

We are not violating any anti trust laws. Further, Free Speech and the
Internet Media Protective Association have two very different agendas. Although we support what Free Speech does, we do not see it setting any initiatives in the online realm. Please understand the IMPA was not formed to deal with Acacia. Its goal is to represent small and large businesses when dealing with business issues. |

I finally got the website up of [url]http://www.FightThisPatent.com Went through an identity change from FightThisPatent.com to FightThePatent.com seemed more direct and you can just hear Public Enemey's 'Fight the Power' in your head..... or, at least i do. Still waiting on DNS for FightThePatent.com to come up, so for now you can use FightThisPatent.com This is my personal viewpoint on the issues, both informative and satirical. I will be actively updating the website and any news of interest i will post back to here to engage in discussions. Already talked to the guys at IMPAI and Spike and they support my website because I can say anything that i want, whereas their organization has to be more politikally cerrect. Check out the site, read up on this very important issue. Contribute any leads you may find. Fight The Patent!
