I heard most PC's are restarted when connected to the internet because of the new Windows worm.

My sales are low today and I think this restart problem might have an effect on this..

There is a patch and the newspapers are blasting the news, so a couple more days and things will be better as folks realize there is a problem.

If their computer restarts everytime they connect to the internet, how are they going to download the patch?

they can't......only people with more than one computer can figure out what's going on....If I just had one computer, i'd be fucked cause as soon as I logged on, the computer shut down before I could even download a patch...that worm will put your computer into a continual loop of shutting down and restarting.

So the clueless ones are probably bringing their computers into the shop...I was about to do the same thing if I wasn't able to figure out what was wrong...

I was first having that shutdown after 60 seconds problem on my laptop, when i started my desktop to find a cure for it, it also started restarting every minute.

Took me a while to get rid of it

good thing that the first site that came up on google when i looked for "shutdown initiated by NT authority" had a link to the patch at microsoft.
