Google and domains ? ? ?

Ok, let's get serious for one moment.

How important for Google are domain names that match the keyword?

Lest's assume that I own f.e lesbianxxx.com ( which I don't ). That's a very good domain, since it gets type-in traffic.

But does such name help in getting Google hits from people searching for "lesbianxxx" or "lesbian xxx"?
Ok, it certainly does help, but my question is, how much it helps ?
Is it a big or only a small advantage ?

What must to be done, to be among the top results for these terms , when one has such domain ?

And, is .com more important for Google that f.e .ws
( would lesbianxxx.com be ranked higher that lesbianxxx.ws, if the pages were optimisez similar ) ?

domains with keyword are better for SE optimization than domains without keywords

Having a keyword in the domain is not as important as it used to be. There are millions of sites that rank in the top 10 without having a keyword in their url.

Bottom line is having the keyword does give you a slight advantage over a url without a keyword in it. But with proper optimization, it is a minimal enhancement.

Dark Jedi is 100% correct. It is a common misconception to think that only .com, .net, and .org have a chance at a top listing. If you know what you are doing, you can achieve great rankings.

nothing fully compares with having a content rich site with relevant text.

All of it is important.

Do whatever you can to give your site a boost above your competition. If your competition doesn't have keywords in their domain name... get one with keywords.

Use your meta tag keywords in your description, page text content and in your alt-img tags.

Every page on your site should have different content and meta tags, but relating to the same concept.

Something else I've noticed in the somewhat recent past, is the age of the domain name.

My older domains tend to do better in ranking than the ones I've recently purchased.

Anyhow, there isn't 1 thing to do that will give you the best ranking, which makes me wonder if you are really serious.

Is the decision to get a domain with or without a keyword in it even something to think about?? I mean you want to know "how much", but, even a slight increase in page rank is better than none. It seems to be a no-brainer in my book.
