Google.com - Wins the race!

Recently - Google.com acquired Bloggers.com.

This aquisition and the new features they are pumping out will change future Google.com algorithms.

Good move Google.com you have won - hands down.
The tool bar is awesome.
The blogging tool - works fantastically.

Although previous - to my research I was adopting RSS 2.0 for blogging.

The "BlogThis" now button in the toolbar is something all those who are concerned about the "dance" should know.

Go their homepage.
Click on Tools.
Download and install their tool bar.
Click the BLOG button and follow the instructions.
This type of thing could make many boards like GFY obsolete.

Google to get information.
Google to publish information - who would have thought.

Awesome good move.

Out of their help files ...

Syndication
RSS is an XML format for publishing information that can be picked up and displayed on other web sites and information aggregation tools. If you select Publish RSS, each time you publish your blog, Blogger will generate a version of your blog in the RSS flavor of your choosing and place it on your web server. You can then give the URL of this RSS file to sites and aggregation services and link it from your blog. For more information, see the resources linked below. Elsewhere: Introduction to RSS

Ya well - RSS 2.0 - how?
I haven't figured it out yet.

Google acquired Blogger.com NOT Bloggers.com.

I'm sure you knew, just a typo.

It does still have a quirk here and there to bang out.
For example, the Blogger button does not automatically update when you've made a change to your blogger template. It publishes whatever template you were using when you first signed in with the Blogger button.

But boy that popup blocker works well... I'm surfing 99.9% popup free nowadays.

I don't know yet.
But my sole function today is to integrate the Blogging feature into SexEducation.com.

(Caveat - as long as RSS 2.0 will at least become available.)

Reading and studying everything both sites have on the matter.

Testing FTP permissions and directory structures for allowing anyone to post on SexEducation.com and syndicate simultaneously AND list with Google simultaneously.

Very interesting stuff.

I had previously stated ...
Google was gone.
Blogging was in.

That is until Google.com BOUGHT Bloggers.com.
Smartest thing I've ever seen them do.
Smartest thing...
Bang on the money and good to have some power behind Bloggers.com.

Blogging is the future of "real time news".

Anyone can "blog" to share information for free or for money.
When you find those individuals or companies which "blog" the information you wish to stay informed about. RSS 2.0 allows a "reader" kinda like a "usenet" reader to grab any new blogs by that particular writer.

Go to http://www.syndic8.com and just go read some blogs - to really get a flavour of what this exponentially emerging trend will be like. It's kinda hard to define exactly what blogging is.

It's a whole new way of getting your information, customers and making business contacts.

If Google.com does not support RSS 2.0 and this turns into an "Explorer vs Netscape" scenario - you're going to have a lot of anti-Google bloggers.

The source for Real Simple Syndication is
http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss who just acquired the patent to RSS Technology a couple weeks ago.

Blogging just went - mainstream.
Every type of Webmaster should know about this.
