I had previously stated ...
Google was gone.
Blogging was in.
That is until Google.com BOUGHT Bloggers.com.
Smartest thing I've ever seen them do.
Smartest thing...
Bang on the money and good to have some power behind Bloggers.com.
Blogging is the future of "real time news".
Anyone can "blog" to share information for free or for money.
When you find those individuals or companies which "blog" the information you wish to stay informed about. RSS 2.0 allows a "reader" kinda like a "usenet" reader to grab any new blogs by that particular writer.
Go to
http://www.syndic8.com and just go read some blogs - to really get a flavour of what this exponentially emerging trend will be like. It's kinda hard to define exactly what blogging is.
It's a whole new way of getting your information, customers and making business contacts.
If Google.com does not support RSS 2.0 and this turns into an "Explorer vs Netscape" scenario - you're going to have a lot of anti-Google bloggers.
The source for Real Simple Syndication is
http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss who just acquired the patent to RSS Technology a couple weeks ago.
Blogging just went - mainstream.
Every type of Webmaster should know about this.
