It aint right he got hit and hurt bad. But you live in vegas first and pay the 2nd highest auto insurance in america... why? Because ANY accident here involves a lawsuit. Did you read what he wrote? "Then we'll see how deep u-haul's pockets are. . ." WTF? Like its u-haul's fault for his injuries? Please. I suppose whats next is people suing auto manufacturers because they made the thing that ultimately caused them injuries.

That is twisted fucked up logic that just fucks us all. So, fuck you too you short sighted fuck.

High Quality, it's not MrPheer's fault that you can't afford to pay for car insurance so you have to go whining about anyone who gets in an accident.
Go work at McDonald's and you can earn the money for insurance - of course you'll have to get a car, too.

It's fuckers like YOU who don't understand what it's like to have your life torn apart by irresponsible drivers for the better part of a year if not your entire life. And you'd better PRAY that you never do, because karma's a bitch, baby.

MrPheer I'm damn glad to hear you're alive. That bike was sweet but she can be replaced - you can't. And you're right - sue U-Haul, this is what they have insurance for, this is the risk they take letting other people drive their vehicles. If the guy had been in his own car his OWN insurance would be calling you making you a settlement offer, so don't you hesitate for one minute to claim what is yours.
You weren't at fault no matter whether you were on two wheels or four.

Hope ya heal quickly, man. And post pics of the bike once you get her back if ya can - so we can all mourn her with ya

I'm pretty fearless but Vegas is the one place I DESPISE driving.

Sorry to hear about this Pheer -- I know it sucks to be stuck with this crap, I finally got off my crutches for now about two weeks ago, until they go in and remove the pins and the plate.

Anything I can do, let me know -

Pheer get better

I know what 80mph road rash feels like after crashing my Honda CBR 900.

almost 3 years later, my shoulder is still dislocated, and still have the whole in my calf from the foot peg that broke off in it.

This too shall pass!

I guess I'll sue them and while i'm at it, sue your mother. Why not? Your mother farted which started a chain reaction which eventually caused the the person who "ran my punk ass over" to hit me. Obviously its entirely your MOMs fault so I'll sue her.

haha, clueless.

My best wishes to you, I hope you recover quickly. Not the kind of news I want to hear 3 weeks before I pick up my new Fat Boy.

I've had a couple of minor accidents in the past on bikes, but nothing that serious. Since the first day I rode, it's been something hard to live without. I hope you are still able to enjoy it after all this is in the past.

I will agree there are a lot of frivelous lawsuits in America PERIOD. But sorry, getting hit head on my a Uhaul driver, is not frivelous. Pheer didn't deserve that. If he was being Evil Canevil on his bike, thats one thing... but he was at a complete STOP.

To say it's to be expected if you ride a motorcycle, is pure ignorance ...what if he was walking, crossing a street? Come on now... Maybe people should learn how to drive better and soberly before anyone is to say, what we should or shouldn't drive.

Insurance is high in EVERY state, I live in NY (state not city) and pay double/triple for everything. Unless the truck was stolen, U-haul gave a reckless driver keys to kill. So damn right Uhaul should pay. Fuck Uhaul, their mileage and storage units are overpriced anyway.

If he broke the antenna off my car or scratched it, let it go... but no one is putting me in a wheelchair, sending me to surgery and making me live with pain, without some sort of reprecussions.

I'd like to see what tune you sing if it happened to you High Quality. Maybe you're just jealous of the settlement he is bound to get..

First off I never said it was cool that he got hit by a uhaul truck. That aint cool. I do hope he gets better soon. However, the problem lies in the fact that he wants to sue uhaul, who had no fault in this whatsoever. It would be just as absurd to sue the state of nevada for issuing a license for the driver (or whatever state he is from)... I guess he didn't think about that tho, I wonder why - the state i'm sure is far more richer than uhaul.

Secondly, you're completely full of shit. I've lived in NY (state, not city too) and shit is cheap there. In fact car insurance is 1/2 the price in ny state than it is here because apparently in NY bullshit lawsuits aren't tolerated. Now if you wanna complain about taxes there then you have a right to, but as for the cost of goods, naw, you're full of it. :winkwink

I look at it this way..Mcdonalds employee make a mistake and give you the wrong drink, I don't think it's reason enough to sue anyone..but when some idiot drive away when they hit a person that stand for a red right..it's right to sue the fucking company that let him drive and that ************* guy that hit him can go to prison for long time..cars is like guns if you let your children play with your guns..It's very right to sue the parents if they shoot someone.

dam that sucks man... I was just thinking of getting another bike too... hope you get well soon... you have any pics of the bike now?

***edit***

ok I didn't read the whole thing...b4 I posted... but I can somewhat agree with what HQ is saying... but he is just going about it all wrong...

you should for sure sue the drivers ass off.. you may not get much.. but that's the luck of the draw... I mean, really if U-Haul had no fault other than it was their truck... they don't deserve to be sued... that is half the problem with the judical system in America...

If on other hand the driver worked for U-haul and was on the clock.. then that's a diffrent story.. then ofcourse sue their ass off... but if it was a rented truck.. then they really arn't at fault.

I'm sure you can, and probally will sue them.. but it isn't the right thing to do..just because you got hurt by a rented truck.. if it was the guys personal truck you probally wouldn't get shit, even though you should.

The main point to this.. is don't just pass the buck, just because you can. and get well soon.

He's going to have to sue Uhaul's insurance company as the insurance company would be the one doing the settling if he was driving his own vehicle, so same with Uhaul, probably what he meant to that effect.

As far as the accident is concerned from a fellow biker I feel for you buddy. We take an inhernt risk everytime we throw our leg over that machine of all the cagers out there. If you've never ridden a bike you're an unsafe driver, once you've ridden your awarness is increased 100 fold.

May all the ill-wishers have a visit from their local 1%er chapter.

the insurance adjuster and bike dealer just left... here's the verdict on my bike:

front wheel, busted
forks, twisted
handlebars, pretzle shaped
gas tank, dented and badly scratched on both sides
engine, front cylinder cracked from top to bottom, and crankcase is busted
pipes, twisted and dented
frame, bent in 3 places
ignition, jammed
left foot peg, missing
rear brake pedal, bent
right foot peg, bent

I love bikes, and I want one, but..

Stories like this, and like my fathers (father got tboned by a pickup on his harley, lost his right leg and most of the fingers on his right hand.. Still rides though)..

It's one of those high risk fun things, and I think I'll stick with skydiving instead.

Sorry to hear about it man, it sucks when your life is fucked up because the other guy is too dumb to live.

Hey MrPheer,

That fucking sucks bro but be very thankful..

You could've been paralyzed, or ever worst - died!
I'm glad to hear that just your leg broke, it couldve been a LOT worst. Get well soon.

That fucking SUX man!!! Sue the fucker! My Dad was just in an accident this past Friday, he was walking across the street and a van ran the red light and my Dad went airborne and landed on his head - he's had 2 brain surgeries due to a huge blood clot on the front of his brain, broken neck, and some spinal injuries. I'm leaving for Chicago this Friday morning until Monday to see him and go look for that fucker that hit him and ran!!!! If there's anyone in the Joliet area of Illinois please hit me up : 178130938
