It's too simple to win a $250 design contest, it doesn't show any skill or really grab the viewers eye.

bah...that's BS...easy to say and sounds nice, but it is an excuse for someone in love with easy effects.....

design wants to be simple. design wants to look easy and effortless.

design doesn't want contours and textures and 3D effects, that's for sure.

so slop on your ready made photoshop effects and tell everyone else they don't know design because they can't bevel and can't get a lens flash...wow...I am very impressed...haha

1. There is about 99999999 different ways to use the layerstyles in PS. About 90% of the ways to use it look like crap.

2. If you think PS is so bad, why bother using images on your site ? CSS will do just fine.

3. Yes, colors has alot to say, so go read a book. You don't know shit about colors.

4. If 3D and other cheap PS effects are so easy to make, why not just show us what you can do with it...
