I have almost no desktop icons, but I have 8 desktops, and you can see all are with opened windows.
This is a screenshot of desktop #7 harvesting around for valid emails. Do you want to buy a non targeted email list? I can sell you some of them.

BTW... I hate spammers

actually it is 'linux' it's just a commercialized version of Debian...

apt-get works for most things and it doesn't get any easier for an idiot install of a *nixy kinda system....

Lindows is essentially the Debian Linux distro running KDE true

but with things renamed and removed.
For example, the Linux counterpart to WinAmp, XMMS, has been renamed MP3 Player whats the deal with that. also if i remember right doesnt lindows logs u in as ROOT alll of the time by default. BIG no no if your a newbie and make mistakes. as ANY linux user will tell you never log in as root always create a new user as one mistake will cause problems for your system

plus their click an run feature dont you pay a yearly fee for this.
too me it sounds more commercialized of a crak version of windows then linux

yes, one thing is true....

it does like to log you in as root in versions previous to 4.0...but in 4.0 they made it easy to log on as a user....

as for Click&Run, sure "IF" you want to buy into that I guess it's fine for n00bs....but if you don't mind getting into learning how to install from their easy (ports like) apt-get system and deal with the occasional dependencies issues, it's really not bad for 60 bucks for the basic OS....

which is ok to install on "x" number of machines....

oh, and yeh their renaming of xxms and what I REALLY liked the renaming of was BITCH-X haha....I guess they are a big lame about the whole 'let's hide that this shit is really not that hard and easy to find' for their sales of Click&Run....I didn't care for that either, but then again I didn't go for it cuz I knew how to install from binaries, source, etc...

overall, sure if you don't mind the extra setup process of Debian, I would suggest that, but if you want an out-of-the box decent linux-y dist to fuck with, this souped up Debian/KDE blend is quite nice....

my next project is turning a spare box into a windowsy fbsd machine...or maybe even a Gentoo dist...
...bottom line, anything that has a 'portsy' style install ability I like...oh and a lil stability is groovey too....

PS: how is Mandrake? I've never seen or messed with that one yet....

I found it was easier to leard then redhat but then thats just me
i cant wait to try 9.1 mandrake looks better then the 8.1 i have
