Doubts about adultfriendfinder,alt.com, ..: using dirty tricks?
I am interested in various friendfinder sites.
alt.com filipinofriendfinder.com germanfriendfinder.com adultfriendfinder.com etc. From what I understand, I have to sign up for each of these sites. If I want to sign up webmasters under me, I have to ADDITIONALLY sign up as a broker for these sites. So I have to spend an entire afternoon to sign up 10 times. Then I have to check 10 site statistics (5 broker and 5 original accounts). Then I have to verify 10 site statistics, qualify for the minimum check on 10 different accounts, etc. Finally, when a person goes with my link to, say, alt.com, and from there to another friendfinder site, it will NOT use my affiliate id when that person decides to sign up for germanfriendfinder.com Also, if a webmaster signs up from an affiliate site, using anything other then a specific broker affiliate link, then all this is also lost. I did a search on the word friendfinder, most of these facts were confirmed by other members here, but strangely, nobody got excited or worried about this. If they were really honest, they would make one signup for all the different friendfinders, no differentiation between broker and affiliates, and would preserve the affiliate id of people who switch between different friendfinders. I also wonder: if a person does a free signup, and later on decides to pay, who gets the commission: a) the person who gave the lead to the free signup b) the person who gave a later lead that lead to the paid signup c) none of the above Actually, I also don't understand why they keep separate databases for the different friendfinders. A german who looks for some exotic perversion, could advertise in germanfriendfinder, alt.com, adultfriendfinder. I don't understand why they don't tap into each other's databases. |

I use the AFF programs religiously and can honestly say that they are my #1 program.
Here's why: Every day I get commissions on $149 yearly memberships, $119 6 month memberships and a whole lot more. A lot of other sponsors out there either don't count sign-ups at all or would claim that the sign-ups were only for a month. I am confident the AFF honestly pays for every single sign-up. |

P.S. They pay the affiliate that originally generated the free sign-up. I use a number of tracking url's and often am credited for sign-ups from weeks and even months prior.

Hopefully they would give you credit no matter what link you used. But maybe they can best shed some light on it.
In regards to who gets credit for a converted lead, it should be whoever referred the lead for life. Anyone know for sure? I can answer any questions you have about our program if you are interested.

"dirty tricks"
what dirty tricks, this is business and the affiliate owner decides for what he is going to give you credit. His program, his rules. With your kind of logic all programs use dirty tricks |

I think a perfectly clean way would be: if I send them traffic, they credit me if people sign up for any one of their programs, including downline webmasters. This is not the case, at least not for the simple minded user. do a search for friendfinder. There was one gofuckyourselfer that posted a adultfriendfinder link for others to sign up with, blissfully unaware that he would get no commission because he did not give a "broker" link. Call this at least complicating and misleading. Another post commented that his affiliate ID was NOT on the links to other friendfinder programs, rather other affiliate ids showed up there. If its tru what has been said before, if this can be achieved at least by signing up for 10 programs and meddling with the affiliate settings, it still looks quite messy Originally posted by curiousdog ------------------- I am interested in various friendfinder sites. Finally, when a person goes with my link to, say, alt.com, and from there to another friendfinder site, it will NOT use my affiliate id when that person decides to sign up for germanfriendfinder.com -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Completetosser replied --------------- Not necessarily true - you can easily set it up so it does. It's in the affiliate area - under hints and tips I think ------------------------- Completetosser: do you have proof? can you show your friendfinder website where all links point to your own affiliate or broker accounts? ------------------- I think we have a friendfinder executive here. can he comment? Make money from chinese, indian, filipino, and korean traffic (no dialer or CCs needed!) ----------------------------- ----------------------------- I did a test. I used one of TheProfessor's signup links to one friendfinder, then moved forward to sign up as broker for another friendfinder. To say the least, I could not find his affilate ID on that second signup. While it is possible that the ID is somewhere hidden. Definitely it is not showing up in a transparent way!! I clicked on this link http://outpersonals.com/go/b10661 then on broker programs then on broker adultfriendfinder http://adultfriendfinder.com/cgi-bin..._broker_signup his direct signup link for adultfriendfinder broker account is http://adultfriendfinder.com/go/b64839 At least, it is not transparent that this adultfriendfinder signup will be credited to him. It would require a messy trial signup to verify that. It would be comforting for a webmaster if he would recognize his own affiliate ID. I still wonder for what reason they require so many different signups. I still suspect it is exactly for that reason, so that diverted signups for other friendfinders will NOT get credited to the original webmaster who originally sent the customer. |

*2) also, whoever is the funny guy who gave me this nice title "I am probably spamming", can you please remove this? Is any admin doing this? or is this board being hacked???? curiousdog I am probably spamming Registered: Jul 2003 Location: Rio de Janeiro,Los Angeles Posts: 2 *3) this "spam" accusation almost looks like an attempt by adultfriendfinder to distract from the substance of my post, which, if true, is very embarrassing. So can you please judge by the substance of my post and not get distracted by ???? *4) Actually, I was going to post a counterexample of an affiliate program that allows customers to sign up for dozens of companies. That one maintains your affiliate id wherever you go, right square in the url. No way how your affiliate id can get lost. Now I am worried that this will be used as an excuse to label my post spam. What should I do? post it on a separate post, if an admin considers it spam, then he can delete it? As I said, I don't want to give an excuse to distract from the substance of this thread, so I wait for advice before posting that example. >> adultfriendfinder seems to divert your customers *5) The reason why I ask is: I want to sign up for the friendfinder family, my traffic is such that people will be interested in diverse programs from the friendfinder family, and I am worried about losing large part of my traffic to this diversionary tactic. Ok, I am also lazy to sign up for 10 programs. And I am also thinking how to COUNTERACT THAT DIVERSION. Maybe I have to put them into a frame, if they let me do that. |

Every program has their own ways of structuring their offerings.

Friendfinder is not a scam.
Send traffic to them and then to a few other personals sites - you'll see who makes you the most money real fast. |

From what I see at the moment, the situation is as follows.
adultfriendfinder is a good company, that converts well and gives money, in spite of some apparent problems with lost commissions webmasters would be making even more money, if it were not for various suprises like a) the unsuspecting webmaster sends traffic for adultfriendfinder.com, but the client signs up for adult.com, germanfriendfinder.com or another program. Poor webmaster has no clue he lost that commission due to the somewhat strange setup of friendfinder's commission program (it seems to me that this is not "informed consent", most webmasters seem to be unaware of these lost commissions) b) the unsuspecting webmaster sends traffic for adultfriendfinder.com. This client is a webmaster who signs up as a webmaster for adultfriendfinder.com. Tough luck, he did not come via the "broker" link for adultfriendfinder.com, so another lost commission. c) finally, he sends a webmaster through his broker link for adultfriendfinder.com. Hooray!! a webmaster override commission!! The webmaster signs up not only for adultfriendfinder, but also for alt.com. Another lost commission. d) but thank god, sometimes traffic comes in as traffic for adultfriendfinder.com, and actually signs up for adultfriendfinder.com. A real commission!! And adultfriendfinder converts so well, that webmasters like it, still make good money in spite of the lost commissions, as demonstrated in a-c above. Maybe, for the really well informed webmaster, there is a possibility to tweak the settings in half a dozen webmaster areas for the various friendfinder programs, so these losses can be avoided. I am waiting for the positive confirmation, or maybe I will have to check that out myself, if there is a way around. |

ok, let me put it this way. If AFF is cheating on their stats who cares. THEY blow away EVERY other program out there. not by a little bit, but by a LOT. many many times better.
and I don't believe for a second that they cheat.

--------------- I understand that adultfriendfinder.com is a good program, even if some traffic gets lost, it still gives good income. Still, I would like to find a way how to send traffic to all of the following without losing part of my traffic: adultfriendfinder.com, alt.com, germanfriendfinder.com, plus getting override for webmasters |

Btw, the "probably a spammer" thing is just a tag put on there by the board. As you move up with different amounts of posts you'll get different 'titles'. Once you get 1,000 posts you can set your own title.

One reason AFF, etc, is so fucked up is that they bought alt.com. Alt has their own system and they never integrated the two systems. Good reason, but it still sucks.

It's actually quite easy to get credited for all of the different AFF programs, and still get paid for your main affiliate account. No need to check multiple stats or worry about meeting the minimum on each program.
Full details can be found here: (Sorry, the url is to long to paste) Go to your stats login page. Look for Hints & Tips. It tells you how to merge everything under one account. And it works with ALT.com as well. |

Each of the sites in the Friend Finder
network is independent. We have made some recent changes to let you setup cross links to the other sites. We have found that these cross links account for about 1% additional revenue. When you promote any one of the sites, people tend to join the one you send to. It is better, however, to have links to several of the sites that you feel your traffic will convert on your pages. People will tend to pick the one site that they want prior to clicking. Email me at [email protected] if you have more questions. You can also email [email protected] as she handles most affiliate questions. Thanks!
