I think a perfectly clean way would be:
if I send them traffic, they credit me if people sign up for any one of their programs, including downline webmasters.
This is not the case, at least not for the simple minded user. do a search for friendfinder. There was one gofuckyourselfer that posted a adultfriendfinder link for others to sign up with, blissfully unaware that he would get no commission because he did not give a "broker" link. Call this at least complicating and misleading.
Another post commented that his affiliate ID was NOT on the links to other friendfinder programs, rather other affiliate ids showed up there.
If its tru what has been said before, if this can be achieved at least by signing up for 10 programs and meddling with the affiliate settings, it still looks quite messy

I am interested in various friendfinder sites.
Finally, when a person goes with my link to, say, alt.com, and from there to another friendfinder site, it will NOT use my affiliate id when that person decides to sign up for germanfriendfinder.com

Not necessarily true - you can easily set it up so it does. It's in the affiliate area - under hints and tips I think

Completetosser:
do you have proof? can you show your friendfinder website where all links point to your own affiliate or broker accounts?

I think we have a friendfinder executive here. can he comment?

I did a test. I used one of TheProfessor's signup links to one friendfinder, then moved forward to sign up as broker for another friendfinder.
To say the least, I could not find his affilate ID on that second signup. While it is possible that the ID is somewhere hidden. Definitely it is not showing up in a transparent way!!
I clicked on this link
http://outpersonals.com/go/b10661
then on broker programs
then on broker adultfriendfinder
http://adultfriendfinder.com/cgi-bin..._broker_signup
his direct signup link for adultfriendfinder broker account is
http://adultfriendfinder.com/go/b64839
At least, it is not transparent that this adultfriendfinder signup will be credited to him. It would require a messy trial signup to verify that. It would be comforting for a webmaster if he would recognize his own affiliate ID.
I still wonder for what reason they require so many different signups. I still suspect it is exactly for that reason, so that diverted signups for other friendfinders will NOT get credited to the original webmaster who originally sent the customer.
