Got back from the Montreal show, here's my thoughts:

Mudvayne - Got there after their set had already finished. No opinion.

Deftones - Didn't have a very long set and were playing while the hot sun was blazing, so show lacked crowd energy but they turned out a great, albeit short, Deftones performance as usual. New stuff along with their classics.

Linkin Park - If the dude from Sum41 and Eminem ever have a kid, it would be LP's Chester Bennington ;p That's what he looked like today anyhow. Dissapointing fans, his lungs didn't explode out of his chest......but he stayed healthy while showing off his vocal talent. They sound as good live as their recordings, something a LOT of bands CANNOT say...

Limp Bizkit - They kept their set to their heavy songs, to not change the mood I guess. Too bad "No Sex" is one fo my faves. Though mentioning Britney Spears, they didn't play "Just Drop Dead" either. They did a few Metallica songs to get people ready and also had some 70s floyd/zeppelin type covers ;p....The highlight of their set however was the George Michael "film" they played on the screens while playing "Faith". Hilarious !

Metallica - I'm only a fan of some songs, but they had a solid 2-hour set. Fireworks, explosions, people starting trash can fires, etc.....Was also cool looking onto the 60,000 or so people with lighters up during "Nothing Else Matters".

That's my take on the show.....nothing special really. The venue was fucked as well, not allowing anyone's water bottles in (they threw out TONS of fresh bottles people brought at the door - what a watse). One guy got kicked out for climbing a tree during an intermission - asshole security. Security generally walked around harassing people for no reason, however when trash fires were going on at the end they were nowhere to be seen heh.
