it's funny that this topic was started cause just last night we (a friend and I) were talking about what this biz has done for us. i working in ib for 5.5 years and although the money was good, my financial quality of life has jumped 2 fold since getting in this biz. the only draw back is the hours. i seem to work the same amount as i did when i was in ib (12-13 hours a day). financially though, i can pretty much have whatever i want. im not saying im rich or anything like that and i do watch what i spend (more because i busted my ass to earn it) but the financial freedom is definitely there, if you work hard enough at it.

the thing that make this biz more fair then others is that male or female, the playing ground is pretty much even. if you think you will get something for nothing, you are more likely to get nothing. if you work hard and stay with it, the rewards are great cause it's "you" who can create success or failure.
