TV hosts asked viewers to vote on whether they should have sex

Two Norwegian TV hosts are in trouble after asking viewers to vote on whether they should perform oral sex on live television.

The TVNorge channel invited viewers to vote on whether or not female host Anja should perform oral sex on male colleague Adam.

The incident happened during a chat program in the early hours of the morning, reports Nettavisen.

More than 1,000 messages came in, according to the TV channel's logs.

"I am not particularly proud of this and neither should the staff be. They have broken all rules," said producer Einar Rhnebk.

According to Rhnebk, three hosts who were working that night made the decision to launch the vote.

Ironically, they are the same people who were meant to censor rude text messages before they were published on screen.

"I can only apologise. Internal rules were not followed and it is obvious that certain members of staff are not capable of handling the responsibility they have been given. I regard this as a personnel matter," Rhnebk added.

Rhnebk has discussed the matter with the people involved, who said the vote was intended only as "a bit of fun".
