Iraq weapons 'unlikely to be found'

Iraq weapons 'unlikely to be found'

Title says it all.

Not sure if they are reporting this everywhere else.

It really doesn't matter. The mission to get Iraq's Oil and knock Saddam off his throne has been accomplished. All the political bullshit will fade with time.

We won. He's fucked. End of story.

Doesn't the 'small' fact that your elected officials flat out lied to you (or at the very least - deliberately misled you) bother you at all?

Do you enjoy being duped by the people that are meant to govern 'for the people'?

I was always under the impression the US was a democracy.

Maybe not any more.

Nobody wins in a war dickwit !!

But yeah i agree with you, who cares about weapons of mass destruction, saddam has been opressing people for too long.

Heaven forbid that we could remove a tyranist from power for not allowing his people the same basic rights that we have, freedom.

Fuck the oil and fuck everything else, at least the iraqi people will have the choice to decide who runs the country now and can live in what should be one of the richest countries on the face of the planet.

Even the bible has passages pertaining to iraq (well the areas that iraq now controls) and how beautiful it was and that it was paradise on earth.

just my

And before anyone mentions it, the big difference with Kosovo is we went in for the reason we were told.

Not blinkered by bullshit.

I'd like to know why the American population is so docile and easily led?

This story has a lot more chapters to go. Would you like to see a trend of Presidents going to war to line their own pockets?

Fuck No. America was built on bullshit. Runs on bullshit. And controls the world with bullshit.

Lies? That's what makes the world go round.

When we see real free elections in Iraq I might agree with this statement.

What if the people of Iraq decide to go for a fundamentalist Muslim goverment like Iran? Will that be allowed in their new "Freedom"

The House of Saud is shaky as shit right now. That was one of the MAIN primary reasons we had to take over Iraq.

America lost soldiers, iraq lost soldiers..

Iraq lost civilians...

Think of all the familys that have had their loves dramatically changed??

Nobody wins. It might look that way because iraq is now liberated (to a degree), but nobody had a clear and defined victory.

When do you expect elections in Afghanistan?

Nobody won? We just took over an entire country and the one with the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world. Casualties are part of the process and expected. They pre-order the body bags even.

And the US/UK army is going to give it to them and what if they vote for a Shi ite fundamentalist state?\

Still going to give them a word in their goverment?

It is not finished and some of you fool yourselves, as you did over WMD, that it is. Every terrorist leader has just been given the most wonderful piece of propaganda for recruiting more suicide attackers.

So far I've been proved right, the reasons for invasion were fictional and the peace is harder to win than the war.

Fudamentalism will not be on the ticket. The US intends to establish a Democratic Republic.

Terroists do not require a reason to be terrorists.

The reasons for the invasion are not ficitional...as WMD's was a very small part of the the list of reasons for the invasion...but was a part of the public face.

I do not know of anyone that ever thought that turning a Muslim nation into a Democratic Republic would be accomplished overnight. It has been a few months...come back in a few years and report then.

There are more Americans killed daily by Americans than there are killed by terrorist orgs or in Afghanistan and Iraq combined.

Get a fucking clue...clueless.

I agree with everything you said in your posting, but this struck me as sort of funny. I mean to say, it conjured a picture of what would happen if they didn't do it that way, waiting six weeks for each body bag, after the fact, would be kind of silly.

BS - I care and so does near 70% of the people in the U.S.

Recent polls show that

This destroys our credibility in the world - rips Bushs pre-emptive doctrine to shreads.

If they can't depend on intelligence assessments - if they aren't flawless, then there cannot *be* a pre-emptive policy.

I agree. If it factually turns out to be a massive intelligence failure then pre-emption based upon intel is not viable...although I believe that WMD's...though being the bulk of the public face...was only a small part of the reasons for the invasion.

Funny...so many armchair politicians.

Nobody was talking about the "big picture," until now.

LOL.

Sorry, back channels are a serious problem in any elected organization.

A lot of great things could be done for America ...and the world for that matter if we ignored the consent of the populace and/or elected officials of other branches.

However, that isn't the point of a democracy...or even a republic (in the case of the U.S.). You can't go through back channels. The constitution is there for a reason.

Things must be properly done according to protocol.

Ironic that the U.S. chooses to use an executive-dominated, back-channel laced adminsistration to toppel a dictatorship ... in order to instate....a democracy?

I presented my version of the big picture prior to the invasion and have always thought as well as stated prior to the invasion that WMD's were the least of the reasons for the invasion.

So much for democracy. They can only chose what they are told to have.

The Shah was a Western leader, he got kicked out. The Russians got kicked out of everywhere they tried to control. The US got kicked out of Vietnam. The British got Kicked out of America. The Europeans got kicked out in Africa. Plus too many other instances to name.

And it will happen again in Iraq if the US try to control it.

Didn't you learn anything at school, how stupid are you?

You're not the guy giving Bush his "intelligence" are you?

Yes I learned something in school...and if I remember correctly no country in the history of the world has ever had a democracy as a form of government.

The US did not get kicked out of Vietnam...it withdrew its forces because the people of the US withdrew its support for the war.

Japan...whose culture at the time was just as foriegn to western culture, as mid-eastern is to western culture...was a major success to being forced to have a Democratic form of government and adopting the ways of the west. It is the 2nd richest country on the earth although Germany and Japan compete for the number two slot.

Still fucking clueless Charly and shall remain so.

I still think the main target is Iran. It makes sense strategically. With troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan, Iran is now surrounded. Just watch. The US will start putting a lot of pressure on Iran which will steadily increase over the next few years. This will be followed by a few well timed crisises which will manufacture consent in the US media for sanctions, followed by intervention.

They said that to attack them. Everybody knows it. Why do you think the UN didn't agree with bombing them? And you can't tell me he destroyed all of the? So we must of been lying, US just want's to be the bigger Muscle.

Blair on the other hand, probably thought there were WMD's over there! I know Blair would just do it just because, his reputation has to be held. And know he is worried about re-election. Poor Blair. I hope he stays in, I like him more than our own president.

So it seems that France, Germany and Russia were smarter... they looked, didn't see and didn't want to invade on doctored or false "intel"...

Bush lovers ( please note the difference from US lovers for those who are confused) may call them pussies or be pissed because they didn't follow blindly, but neither heads of those countries are in the hot seat like Bush and Blair ...

it was about the oil not the weapons. MIDEAST OIL IS CHEAPER. US Does not care about 3rd world countries being upset, over a war, the excuse was there Saddam kept playing games instead of cooperating like he gave his word he would, and unlike Saddam atleast GWB was true to his word, and now we have tons of more oil at way cheaper prices.

Look it up, the only two times the un ever authorized a millitary action were korea and gulf war 1. And korea only passed because the Russians didnt show up that day. No other times.
