I owned tr7 20 years ago. Kept it 6-9 months. Made my money back with all the REPAIRS I had to do. The elctrical systems always breaks down and was in the shop more than I drove it!!

I looked at buying one those a few years ago... my friend had one and his experience put me off. You gotta remember they don't drive like a modern car... gear shft, speed and the big one 'stopping'. They are fine if you just want it for posing on a Sunday drive out, but for daily driving - nah. I got a new roadster instead with all the modern luxuries and a soft top that does keep you dry ;)

Heh... funny you mention Spitfires! I'm picking mine up today!! '77, bright red and fully restored, custom interior. I bought it three weeks after my 16th Bday, many, many years ago...

It's part of a collection of Brit sportscars that my dad started back in the 60s when he bought his '63 MGB.

Well I have another car for daily use. I want to have one for "nice weather" and some shows. And have something todo in the garage at my fathers house(will end up he saying what I need to do since I have technical knowledge of a n00b)
