i recently purchaced a 40 acre parcel in norther nevada for $15,000 and they had quite a few, i got it off ebay for $150 down and 100 a month
you can pay off early etcc etcc.... they had a few parcels of this size so i would assume 100+ acres would be around 45,000

I know I know, I'm in the overpriced zone but since the conversation started I looked into how much it would cost to buy an acre plot of land here in NY.
1/40th of an acre costs up to $110,000 undeveloped. Strangely, instead of building a house in Manhattan on your fraction of an acre, you would make more money with a simple parking lot. $41 bucks to park for 4 hours! All you need are some metal lifts and about 3/40th of an acre for space. Oh, and a guy named Patel or Jose (preferably with no green card) to run it.
