I would have to disagree with your determination of what's considered a high PR4 based on the above. I've been able to achieve a PR5 ranking for some of my sites with a single link from a PR6. Similiarly I have seen sites with over a hundred backlinks and still not achieve a PR4. The number of links is not an indication in the least of how a site ranks within a single PR block.

There are systematic algorithms you can apply to determine how a page ranks against other pages in the same PR block though such as using repetitive searches to do a Bubblesort. There was a good discussion on this on WebmasterWorld a few weeks ago and I would suggest using that approach to determine in what area of a PR block a site ranks if your benchmarking more than one site of equal PR according to the google toolbar.

Yes you are correct and that is why I said IF they had the EXACT same backlinks and one site had 30 more it would clearly outrank the other and be on the higher end of PR4.

DL WPG once and use it, it makes almost all of your se headaches go away.

It checks where your page would rank as it looks at the page on your desktop against up to the top 100 on over 200 ses.

Then it tells you per se what to change to make it better, theres 3 ses you need to worry about everything else is bullshit,

AOL, Goolge and msn, everything else fuckit because they all draw from them.

If you check the binary it's branded with our url's in it because I do larger volume of sales than most affiliates. No man, I know it, that program kicks se asses easily, its like knowing before where your page will rank and its very easy to use.

As I said as a first time user, I read the directions, and worked about 4 hours trying out different keywords and such, about a month later my friend had a number 6 listing on google for adult content providers.

He was there for a pretty long time untill he got bumped.

Google is acting weird because they have been impimenting new algo changes/filters and moving towards a continous rolling update. They were using outdated data for 2-3 months and completely skipped using April's deepbot data. Now they have updated and have somewhat settled though the 9 datacenters still are not all completely lined up. A lot backlinks seem to be missing, newer spidered sites are not ranking how they should be right now, the PR is not accurate and the toolbar is behaving strangely. Also a lot of index pages are missing from the SERPs and internal pages are ranking higher.
