I agree with you man. I have no doubt that it's legal. I just hate that the crazy ass conservatives and religious freaks use the more extreme stuff and themes as ammo to put us all out of biz.

laura 06-26-2003 12:58 AM

wait! who actually thinks that its real hypnosis ? does anyone actually think that shit is real?

why dont you look at www.hypnogirls.com to see a real hypnotist

Well it's legal, nobody gets hurt, it's not like we're selling crack.

Obviously, it has a shock value to it, and it's what makes people interested in it, even though they know it is poorly faked.

Some people are ok with it, some people are not, and we respect that.

You probably think that some bondage sites are borderline too, while some people are ok with it. Bottom line is, it is legal, and people will promote it :)

Extreme is stuff like Rob Black, and you should be glad it's out there.

Makes them a target instead of you.

Well, when it comes to legality, I think porn has to be judged on a case by case basis, because there is so much variety in porn.

For example: There is a huge difference between Playboy and Max Hardcore. It's all porn, but some would obviously find some of it waaay more obscene than others.

So while I don't think Hypno Trick is doing anything to help the image of the porn industry, I don't think it will do much to hurt average joe blow pornographer either.

You know that's not true just as well as I do. Guys like Rob Black only make all of us targets. I'm not telling you what I think, I'm telling you what those dumbasses think. They always take the worst example and use that as a typical example to represent all of us. Those people don't rationalize any of it, you and I are just as bad as guys like him in their eyes, and while they will go after guys like that first, they will use guys like him as the basis for coming after all of us.

Brown Bear 06-26-2003 01:05 AM

Bible-thumpers can paint all pornographers with the same brush all they want, but when it comes to prosecuting obscenity, I seriously doubt they would compare Rob Black to someone selling softcore nude pictures. Their argument wouldn't hold up well in court.

Sweetheart, the right wing conservatives DO NOT CARE if you are Playboy or Max Hardcore, they DO NOT LIKE YOU.

From a prosecutorial standpoint, a good prosecutor always looks for the most winnable case.

Let's see, hypnotrick or that damn boot camp vid of Rob and Lizzies.

It's not even a toss up.

The fact of the matter is the content if perfectly legal.

Some people had moral objections with Bangbus you know... doesn't change the fact that it's legal, funny and it's good content.

I just asked a question, and got an answer. I have no moral objection to your site. Perfectly legal.

Besides, I don't even think it could be called a fantasy rape site anyway. Wouldn't that be more like fantasy molestation at best?

The act of rape would indicate forced sexual intercourse. There's nothing being forced if the woman is hypnotised. Technically. I'm not sure how the scenerios of real life occurences (dentists feeling up their patients while sedated, etc.) played out in court. Was it deemed rape or did they wiggle down a lesser charge?

Anyway, I dont' really care. Hope you're making some big bucks.

Sweetheart, the point you are missing is that Attorney Generals, District Attorneys, Judges and on up are elected officials or appointed, they prosecute not solely on the basis of law or the most winnable case, they prosecute for the public and for elections, they go after the people that their constituients want them to go after. With the tone of things in this country, the right wing people aren't using rational thought like you or I do, they are attacking on the basis of all of it being wrong and they will use the most hardcore extreme examples to show to the public to garner support for getting rid of all of us.

As well as the laws in this country are made by elected officials and upheld by appointed judges on the supreme court. With a few elections, a few adjustments and appointments, all of this we are doing will be illegal and they will attack us in mass using guys like Rob Black to show on TV to make us outlaws. That's the reality, not some fairy tale land.

They might go after the obviously obscene stuff, but if you're just selling normal porn (ie: a 30 year old couple having sex) they're extremely unlikely to go after you because the content has to be found to be obscene which isn't as easy as it sounds because obscenity means different things to different people and it isn't up to the judge or the AG to decide what is and isn't obscene.

Porn being illegal? That's not reality.

The USA is really proud of how "free" they are, if they outlaw porn, wouldn't that be a major precedent?

Indeed.

Both Max Hardcore and Seymour Butts have not been found obscene under Miller in the last year or so.

Do any of you guys understand media or politicians. They don't do things in a rational manner. They use extreme examples to paint a picture of everything. For example a couple soldiers get shot in Iraq, the media makes it out as though things are going to hell in Iraq, one kid listens to Eminem and kills someone, then they make it out as though all of rap music is horrible. That's how it works, the majority of the population in this country are like cattle just grazing and taking whatever they can get. We are not like that, I'm just telling you how things really are and will be made out to be.

Oh I don't agree with that at all. I think the public would be offended if politicians were to lump Playboy together with extreme shit like Rob Black. There's a lot of married couples out there who watch some porn as a sexual aid, I hardly think they want some fat slob in a suit telling them they're all sick fucks.

:winkwink:

No.

You are wrong.

I keep telling you this and you keep repeating yourself with different nouns.

Politicians are some of the most rational and rationalizing people there are. They do things to further themselves in the eyes of their constituency.

Prosecutors do not work in the same manner. If you cannot understand this you need to watch more tv.

yeah thanks for setting me straight, watching more tv will make me understand that you are right :thumbsup If I was dumb enough to buy that one then I would have quit arguing my point long ago. Prosecutors are politicians Kimmy go check it out. Tell me how does one get to be a District Attorney?

Yes, they can try doing all that to make pornographers into the evil imoral beings that we are, but not all porn can be prosecuted on the same basis. Using a Max Hardcore video as an example of why Playboy is obscene just wouldn't work in court.

The point you're missing is, if they change the laws it would work in court. Our current administration is on the verge of trying to get another very conservative judge into the supreme court and then we'll see just what they can do.

Think of this, right now abortion is legal, if Bush gets one more super conservative onto the Supreme Court suddenly abortion might not be legal anymore. If religious conservatives get into government positions and use their personal religious views as the basis of law then anything is possible.

A conservative court IS the best thing for this nation and our industry right now.

Apparently you don't understand civic or political science, but the liberal courts are way more apt to change existing laws and set new precedents to shape social policy.

Roe v Wade? Liberal court
Miller? Liberal court

Conservative courts uphold what is written and don't like to upset the apple cart.

You're not using your brain here.

It's already a crime to distribute obscene materials. What more laws could they pass that would affect average joe pornographer?
