TheHun Submissions?

What's going on about TheHun galleries submission? I submitted a gallery 14 days ago and still got no answer about my gallery approval. I use to get my galleries accepted to this site.

Geez, I remember when the Hun first appeared. I wasn't into galleries then but saw the value of it as his site began to get popular.

I even wanted to do toons for him but as he got bigger he got more distant.

I'ld like to get listed so any tips on galleries would help.

Just what does it take to get listed on The Hun?

He's certainly (or at least the reviewer(s?) are) far more picky when a gallery is actually designed to sell the he used to be. Seems he no longer likes those pesky ads getting in the way too much on non-paid hun galleries.

However, that said it still isn't too hard. You have to consider how many subs the guy gets a day and how many he can list. Just make sure the content is pretty fresh and good quality and the ads are how they now like them (trial and error on that one) and you will get listings. Get just 1-4 accepted and you're probably doing something right.

Thanks Tipsy. As a reward if I get a gallery listed on the Hun I'll do you a FREE logo or something.

I don't agree with any of you. To be listed on the Hun, just submit regularly and don't break any of the rules. You'll get listed for sure in a while - I've had a listing with some pretty heavy advertising that way.

The Hun is great in my opinion to still take that many free subs. Of course he needs the content, but still, he's a real honest guy for someone that big.

Don't know about this guy the Hun -
I brought it to his attention about people who he was listing regularly being the same as people who had previously stiffed him -
Not only did he not have the decency to reply - I have never had a gallery listed there since -
At the end of the day, I don't give a fuck about being listed or not - But pr does go a long way.

Just become your own Hun and you won't be dependent on anyone.

The formula is simple. Quality diverse niche free porn pics and movies + a simple easy to navigate layout + daily updates like clockwork + word of mouth marketing + links from other sites = The Hun

Yeh, its hard to get a million a day site in a short time unless you have capital to buy the traffic, but you could also just have 100 sites doing 10K each and you're on The Hun level. 10K daily is a breeze to get to if you know what you're doing.

Yeah but the HUN is a time tested/time honored name. When you go through the umpteen gagillion tgps out here and 90% are CJs you stay with the name you trust the most.

He only got to the top by being topknotch.

so how do ya get 10k hits a day so easy? Is it quality traffic or re-fried beans?

Just try making clean galleries with good content. In my experience, The Hun is a very decent guy-and very sharp businessman. So just follow all his rules (Which is a concept that a lot of people just can't seem to grasp) and don't try to screw him and you'll probably get listed.
Also, you might want to drop him an e-mail AFTER you get listed and thank him for the 150,000 hits and the 20 sign-ups he just sent you. A lot of people who don't understand business ( and never get listed) call this ass-kissing. In reality, it's just common courtesy.

The 'problem' is that gallery builders and we have a different approach when looking at a gallery. I want what's best for my visitors, the gallery builders want what's best for their sponsors. If I'd allow exists on galleries EVERYBODY would use 'em, but my visitors would run away. If I didn't allow any banners anymore my visitors would be happy, but all submitters would run away. The 'truth' (which is out there) lies somewhere in the middle.

We're picky. Simply 'cause we can be. Everybody is as picky as they can afford to be. We get about 600 galleries daily that make it though the bot (the bot kicks 300-500 galleries daily automatically). Only 90 galleries make it, so we can pick what we think is best for our visitors... it's a good example of a 'free market'. People that say 'tgp's kill the market' are not understanding the mechanisms of a free market. If I start selling bread for 25 USD a loaf I could complain about those 'cheap bread-sellers' and from my point of view I would be right, 'cause I don't sell if my competition is selling cheaper...

Some people try to change the market they're operating on. They will not make that happen though. The Internet is a free market. Change the way you approach an existing market. 'cause that means changing your own ways. And that's a lot easier than changing everybody else's...

But anyway, we're getting away from the subject. I saw here I 'didn't have the decency to reply'... First of all, I'm a decent guy. I reply to everybody, or at least I try to. To put yourself on such high a horse to call everybody that doesn't reply to you 'indecent' is not ok in my book. There could be tonnes of reasons I don't reply. Maybe I didn't get the e-mail, maybe my spamkiller got over-active, maybe I was at a funeral... if someone simply deletes questions that deserve being answered you can call him indecent, but you will never see me doing that...

Whatever else, as he said the guy does take the time to reply as is shown in this post and usually by e-mail if the question isn't plain daft. Mind you, liking a guy for his professionalism is just 'ass kissing' apparently. But then my own view is the only reason to be a 'hater' of the hun is jealousy.

Having the decency to... Just a standard English way of saying something was not done - It does not imply indecency in the slightest -

Of course, there are hundreds of reasons for not getting emails -
The four or five I have written to you simply didn't get through to you...

Thanks Hun! You're one of the rare few who surfers can depend on. I'ld like to see a HUN network or ISP or something. I'm sure you've gotta enough bookmarkers that'd sign up! Would be nice to see a network of TGPs and websites that follow honorable rules making happy surfers and happy webmasters. Bet you'ld get a ton of advertisers too!

Brand name can be everything. If people don't trust you, you won't get word of mouth advertising.

Innovation is a plus as well.

Question for you other TGP/TGP2 ers though. I used 'serialized' tgp images to test to see if the surfers liked them. Some TGPs and TGP2s allowed them and they're my strongest galleries!

Some sites said ' heck no' but then asked me to submit them again as people wanted more.

Here's an example without the 'clickables'. What I would do is run 5 or ten images with a 'tune in to the next episode' catch line and people actually clicked through and bookmarked!

I would make each image clickable to it's corresponding larger image and didn't need to put banners up on the pages.

Lemme know what you guys think.

The above graphic's panels would be clickable to the larger image. For TGPs there's an additional 5 images but I'm only showing this one graphic for space reasons.

People liked em'!

A preview is never a problem, but we get a lot of complete series as a preview. So a 'tune in' is less complete than other submissions we get, I'd say the changes of getting it listed are slim...

Ive done decently well with the traffic that I have on the overflow (Thank you so much for listing it!) about 15k to the gallery, only about 200 or so click throughs to the site, but between 1-3 signups from it.

In addition, he has helped me out with a copyright infringer by delisting the gallery. Anyone with that customer service level is great!

i've been submitting to The Hun for a while now. i give him clean galleries with original content, the sponsor i use is also fairly clean.

they list my galleries every time, and answer me when i have questions. great bunch of people, they make me a lot of money.

Hun,

It would be great if you could post some info about backlog time. I mean, just a rough estimate about how long it should take to get a review. Another one: when a bot kicks a gallery out the cue, do you get a mail about it?

Thnx!

Backlog changes... it's anywhere between a week and a month.

Would you mind telling us how the bot filters galleries??
