You can always mention your own sites, right? Throw up a few thumbs showing all the other girls you get on the system using your own content.

Ludedude 06-22-2003 06:18 PM

You're all getting stuck on the sites wording. Be a little creative...if "access to other sites" is no longer kosher then use a little of that marketing savvy you're all so fond of touting.

slapass 06-22-2003 06:49 PM

so far so good. My sexkey signups are running at double their normal rate last 2 days. I think it was the refresh of my marketing but pretty early to tell.

AdultNex 06-22-2003 07:20 PM

So has it been confirmed or not, is the $750 fee by Visa going to be implemented?

BVF 06-22-2003 08:12 PM

I don't know if this was covered but can I advertise access to my own sites that I have on the network as long as I don't refer to the AVS as a whole?

Gotcha. That was a lot clearer. :)
I'm trying to do the same thing but I swear the guilt from *not* being in front of my machine working is almost as bad as just sitting here and being guilty that I'm not off of it more often, LOL.

Um, no. This is incorrect. Over the years the larger programs have moved from their own merch accts to IPSP. I'm not naming names, but nearly all the biggest programs were left with no choice but to do so.

IPSP situations should produce noticeably fewer issues.

And thats the past and present traffic you talk about. There aint going to be much link list traffic if sales arent made and kept. How you going to sell without being able to mention access to other sites? The question "why use an avs/site directory" should be asked about the surfer, why should they when they can get a fine site directory from the hun? Besides, how can you call it a site directory when you say we cant mention other sites? I assume you cant tell the surfer that its a directory he is buying because you arent allowed to talk about other sites?
Something aint right about all this.............

Big Monkie,

Surfers could just use Kazaa and never need to pay any porn memberships! So whats the point in any of this! ;)

The traffic will still be there, link lists will still be fed traffic, and this will still be an alternative to your own processing.. Plus getting any traffic from any source is still part of the plan to making money.

Believe me if Visa tries to get webmasters to pay the $750 it would be the end of AVS. I agree with that 100%

I know if it came down to me paying $750 for AVS I would be say bye bye to AVS and get my traffic other ways. I keep reading all these posts of people making a killing on TGP traffic so I guess I would have to give the free stuff a try for a while.

Monday is here and at least I know what to do now. Seems hitting delete is the best option especially after spending a lot of time making changes and still getting out of compliance e-mails :) Just glad I only tried changing a % and not the lot.

Tipsy 06-23-2003 12:29 PM

BTW - you also may want to check your 'big tit' join form. The form itself is most certainly out of compliance.

Looks like CCs are cracking down .... or I'm wrong?

danevans 06-23-2003 02:31 PM

Just a small heads up from PA board. As John said, their processing is based overseas and proadult is not affected by this (they practically own the bank they process through). I hope this will last.
:GFYBand
We can still advertise "thousands of participating sites.." and crosslink our sites etc, so consider moving your premiums or even regulars to PA.

Everybody keep talking about $750 per AVS site ???

As far as I know, you pay $750 per compnay/webmaster under a ISPS. That means that you can use an "AVS" which uses CCbill and register all you AVS sites under one account, or even if you use AVS1 (using ccbill) and AVS2 (using ccbill) and register all your AVS sites at both AVSés using CCbill and still only pay $750.

All this assuming (read assuming - because nobody knows) that this becomes a reality. I haven´t seen anything from VISA or anything coming from VISA that this will happen.

Correct me if i´m wrong.

Wow, I've never heard of a porn company that had enough money in the bank to own a bank with $100 million in Tier 1 capital set aside alone.

That's fucking amazing!

Any comments on this ??

The thread just died after I posted that - Is it because I´m right or whatever ??????

Boy, those were the days

NinjaSteve 10-04-2004 10:13 PM

Can I have a refund on my $1875000 please. Paying 750 a site made me almost poor. Thanks.
