I have taken down about 3-4 sites so far, if they post my passwords or my shit I go after them, renetlessly, I got Matrix on these guys because they don't mess around either, and I have a lawyer on retainer just for these guys.
You see it allot and most of the time you can blow it off, but when it gets out of control like these guys we need to step up and shut them down, the Necohiphop will be back without the porn so they will be fine. This is how we do it, Kevin, I just sent E.Z. Board a takedown notice as follows: Veelin Technologies, Inc. EZBOARD-DOM) 480 Clementina St. San Francisco Sent via: email Re: Notice of Infringement under DMCA: http://pub35.ezboard.com/fhatertalkfrm26. Dear Sirs, I am writing to you regarding a new matter that has been brought to my attention by my clients. In this particular matter our office represents NET227, Inc It is well known that E.Z. Board is a service provider directory that links users to an online location. I refer you to 17 U.S.C. 512(d) of the DMCA which provides that an internet service provider is protected from liability, "by reason of the provider referring or linking users to an online location containing infringing material or infringing activity, by using information location tools, including a directory, index, reference, pointer, or hypertext link, if the service provider . . . (3) upon notification of claimed infringement . . . responds expeditiously to remove, or disable access to, the material that is claimed to be infringing or to be the subject of infringing activity, except for purposes of this paragraph . . . the information [for notification] shall be identification of the reference or link, to material or activity claimed to be infringing, that is to be removed or access to which is to be disabled, and information reasonably sufficient to permit the service provider to locate that reference or link." 17 U.S.C. 512(d). See also, Universal City Studios, Inc. v. Reimerdes, 111 F.Supp.2d 294 (S.D.N.Y. 2000), where the court held that posting hyperlinks to other web sites that were in violation of the DMCA, itself violated the DMCA. Currently, E.Z. Board is providing a link to a web page which contains our clients' copyrighted works and trademarks. This web site is www.Hatertalk.com and is on your board as http://pub35.ezboard.com/fhatertalkfrm26. This particular web site. I have proof of our clients' ownership of the works and trademarks in question. This particular web site owner has placed our clients' copyrighted works and trademarks on his web page without the authorization of our clients. According, his actions are in violation of United States copyright law and I request E.Z. Board either remove or disable access to the web site, "Hatertalk.com". I have a good faith belief, and in fact know for certain, that the posting of these works was not authorized by my clients, any agent of my clients, or the law. Sincerely, Anthony J. Comparetto, Esq. 727-328-7900 5340 Central Avenue St. Petersburg, Fl 33707 Please find my clients declaration that said postings of such copyrighted works are unauthorized. I declare under penalty of perjury that this information is accurate and that I am authorized to act on behalf of Net227, Inc. in this matter. NO PERMISSION OR AUTHORIZATION was given to publish said copyrighted works and such publishing is a violation of my copyright license. By All I do to make it happen is ask for him to get them, like this Hello I need some help with these guys, http://pub35.ezboard.com/fhatertalkf...opicID=4.topic I called there ISP but they were not much help, one of the members of the board took down the stolen pics but then others put them back up again, I did send a letter to the ISP but had no luck. Let me know what we need to do? 24 hours later they were down, |

The point of my post is that it would be good to see effort applied to the big thieves..Especially public BBS systems like http://www.cgiworld.net/. What goes on there makes Necrohiphop look very very tiny. |

Er, no bullshit here - it was indeed the very first time I've heard of a complaint regarding these folks. |

Why would they bother posting them? It's a known tactic to post fake passes to drive traffic to sites - hence my request for clarification. |

Of course I don't think they have the rights to it - or purchased it - you're missing the central issue here. Since all of the content you are complaining about is posted on a public bulletin board, it's a bit more difficult to point the finger at the site owner being responsible for actually placing it there. Having said that, if we warn a webmaster about content on their sites and they don't remove it, then the gloves are off. Now, if said owner had these images coming up in a gallery that he had built by himself and posted on his site, then you've got him dead to rights and I'd have no problem pulling the thieving bastard in an instant. However, in this case it's a bulletin board that anyone (yourself included) could post whatever they please to. This is why there is a process involved in filing DMCA complaints regarding sites at any hosting company. Just coming on a public board with vitriolic ranting, like "this bastard is a thief" isn't doing anyone much good - and tends to get ignored. If you truly want to get something done about it, find out what the process of filing a complaint with a particular host is, and file the complaint, along with verifiable proof, if possible (which would speed the investigation). Anyone who has an issue with our policy regarding DMCA complaints is more than welcome to contact me on ICQ or by phone (877-402-9532 xt 205) - and I'll be happy to discuss it with you. Kind regards, Gavin |

Been There done that Redshoe, the sponsors that want their stuff taken down have to email them and they will block it..soulcash stuff hasnt been leeched from there in a few years |

After having improved my anti-hotlinking codes and emailed their sponsors and host they are still there. No one except TopBucks cared to take it serously. Maximum Cash and Funky Cash simply refused to do anything about it. When looking at the banner on BlackGirlOnline they still use the same referal IDs to the mentioned sponsors. Crap! |

They hotlink stolen content, not legal under the DMCA. They steal content, throw it up on a free host and the members of the board push it. They post, trade and swap pw/ideas on how to hack pay sites. There are some many violations on that site that it blows my mind, I know you guys are getting slammed with DMCA notices, don't throw shit around here and put a spin on this, that site sucks and so do you:feels-hot |
FOR THE LAST FUCKING TIME YOU FUCKING RETARD!!!
QUIT FUCKING CRYING ABOUT IT AND SECURE YOUR SHIT YOU FUCKING IDIOT! POSTING PASSWORDS IS NOT FUCKING ILLEGAL. USING THEM IS! BUT POSTING THEM IS NOT!! pull your head out of your ass you fucking monkey! and no, i dont support giving away free passwords, but its not illegal, and i do support peoples freedoms to do as they please! |

Almost forgot they never touched my sites, but they were using licensed content that I also buy, this is what pissed me off the most. My site is pretty secure and I am protected against hotlinkers, but no software will protect you from them joining your site downloading the content they like and using a free host to host it, understand?

We automatically scan known password lists and sites, and as far as I can tell, that list is where the bulk of necro's stolen crap came from. Cheers -b |
